Jamming on the piano at Uncle Michael's

Been a busy couple of days. Monday Joe started shift work again so off he went to West Friendship. He was happy to note that it took him about 45 minutes to get to work. Cammie and I hung out at home and tried to get some cleaning done for the home inspection today. We also looked at tons of pictures of her over and over again and she made a few calls to Aunt Alice. It took her a while to fall asleep and she ended up in bed with me kicking me in the face at some point. The dogs (Pudge) woke me up at 445 to go out so we quietly snuck downstairs and they all did their business. As I was coming up the steps I was greeted by a little cutie on the top step that said HI YOU!!! And the day started then.... The Home Inspector came at 10 along with the buyer and their realtor and went over every last inch of the house. I was exhausted just listening to some of it. I put Cammie down for a nap at 1130 and she slept til 2 which was nice. Oh I neglected to mention that Joe was less than pleased when he got home this morning. He ran a bunch of calls after midnight and it took him over an hour to get home because of traffic on 32. UGH!!! Tomorrow is the appraisal and Friday is more house hunting. Wish us luck!!!

Cute litte Chunkapotamus!!

I figured I better update this before I get yelled at again! This week has been crazy. We got a contract on our house and began the fun of looking for a new place. I took Cammie to the doctor and found out she has bilateral ear infections, Joe took Clyde to the vet and found out he may have torn fibers in his knee. Cammie went to Alice's the other evening when we went to look at houses and ran her ragged and ate her out of house and home!! Joe worked overtime from yesterday afternoon until this morning so he is tired!! Getting ready to fix some dinner and chill out a bit, I've been trying to go through some closets today and haven't gotten nearly as much done as I wanted to but I did sneak in a nap at one point. Joe goes back to shift work on monday and tuesday the inspector is coming to inspect our house for the buyers. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Nap Time

Last week got away from me again and it was brought to my attention that I need to blog (Thank you Theresa). To the best of my knowledge nothing newsworthy happened on Thursday. Friday was my Mom's birthday so her and Dad came over in the morning for a few hours to see Cammie. Cammie has been suffering from the same allergies that seem to be plaguing everyone right now and she is cutting molars so she is a dripping snotty mess at times (but oh so cute!!). It makes her cough and sneeze but she is in really good spirits most of the time! Anyway, we had a nice visit with Mom and Dad but someone missed their nap window so no nap was to be had that day! In the afternoon we went to see Jenn and Maria and Cammie and Maria were cruising around in Maria's Escalade. It was so cute. They played on the roller coaster and with some bubbles too. Lots of fun enjoying the gorgeous day! On our way home we ran into Sharon, Ken and Becca outside so we hung out with them for a while too. It was a very social day. Joe got off late so he didn't end up getting home until probably 8 or so. Saturday morning we got up and frantically cleaned the house since Jenn was bringing over someone to look at it. After that Cammie and I went to Emily's housewarming party which was nice. Her new apartment is cute and Cammie loved the playground out in front of it. I left the party alone as Cammie was going to go home with Meaghan and spend the night!!! Joe and I went to dinner at Sado and then came home and were going to watch the Hangover but he fell asleep and I watched some of it, but I didn't think it was as funny as everyone said. Maybe I was missing something. Anyway, Saturday morning I slept in!! Until almost 10 which was so nice!!! Got a couple of things done around the house and Joe worked on the lawn mower. Alice and Meaghan brought Cammie home around lunch time and Meaghan said she slept all night in a little princess tent that Meaghan bought her! Unbelievable.... Of course she does good for someone else. I'm glad that her first sleepover was a success. The Great Uncles, Gary and Michael called when they were on their way home from the beach and stopped by so we got to hang out with them for a good while and have dinner. I made a yummy call to get takeout. Cammie showed off for them for a while and then finally when she started getting tired and just a little mean they left to head for home. Last night was rough, I am so jealous of Meaghan. Cammie fell asleep quickly but as soon as we got in bed to watch the Amazing Race she got a little restless. She then spent a couple of hours thrashing around but not really waking up. I tried to put her in her bed, because as soon as I would fall asleep she would move around so I was getting frustrated. She woke up as soon as I picked her up. Sigh... So I didn't really fall asleep until probably well after 2. She did calm down and I'm trying to keep her on a regular tylenol/motrin schedule because it seems like her teeth are really bothering her. She keeps sticking her fingers in the back of her mouth which is new and drooling. Oh, the other thing that happened yesterday was our friend Keith and his dad Mr. Jimmy came and picked up the sofa and loveseat from upstairs so Cammie has a whole room to play in now!! Of course the echo is really weird without the furniture in it.

I know, it's been a few days!

I guess I need to backtrack more than a couple of days. Yikes!! Sunday we went to Micheal and Donna's for dinner. Cammie got to play with lots of cousins and second cousins! Mary, Bill and Zach were there and so were Jennifer and Matthew with Gracie and Phillip, Mike and Stacy with Kaileigh and Erin and her boyfriend (I forgot his name). Lots of babies!! I have some pics I haven't posted on facebook yet. Maybe later today. Anyway, we had a nice time and it was good to see everyone! Monday Joe was off so the most exciting thing we did was go to Sams. Cammie loved running around and opening all the freezer doors. She took a brief nap on the way home and then I was sure that she would crash early, which she did at 7. However at 830 she was WIDE awake again and stayed that way until about 2 or so. I finally got her in bed right before Joe had to get up and go to work. Then she only slept til about 830. So yesterday was a rough day. She did take a good nap and we played outside and Joe took her outside to run around after dinner, she took a mudbath before dinner. The yard is so gross. She fell asleep around 830 but didn't stay in her bed long, which is fine as long as she sleeps. She did wake up a couple of times and we thought she was going to throw up but she didn't so I'm not sure what that was about. She has a bunch of new words and new dance moves! And she knows what she wants! The dogs are doing good too, Pudge got over his stomach woes and we got some new medicine for his ear so he is on the road to recovery. He'll be embarrassed that I told this but he fell off the bed while he was sleeping Tuesday morning. He didn't hurt himself but you could tell he was thinking, I hope no one knows what I just did. However when a 90 pound dog falls it sounded like the roof was crashing down. I'm so glad it stopped raining and I am hoping that this gorgeous sun dries our yard up!! I'm so sick of mud and it seems like the yard hasn't been dry in months with all the rain and snow and rain before that. Hope everyone is getting to enjoy some of this sunshine!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Busy at the Browns

Julie did her hair for her and it looked so cute!! She won't hold still for me to do anything to it! I had asked Kristen to watch Cammie for me Friday for a little bit so I could take Pudge to the vet since he had been sick on Thursday but they didn't have any appointments until Friday evening. I dropped Cammie off at 430 and then took Pudge in, he was deemed fine, just a stomach virus. We stopped at the bank where he got a biscuit and then he waited very nicely in the truck while I ran in to get some lunch meat, milk and bread from the deli. I was home by 530 or so and when I texted Ashley she said that they were playing and would bring Cammie home later. So I took a shower and ate dinner and then just relaxed for a little bit. She brought Cammie home about 8 and I figured she would fall asleep quickly but it took her til about 930 and then she stayed in her bed til about 130. Joe got home this morning and Pudge improved drastically, he is such a Daddy's boy. Of course today it has been disgusting and raining all day and windy. Yuck. I watched the movie Taken while Cammie took a nap. I thought I would be able to nap also since I was tired from last night and I don't feel well but no luck. Guess I'll have to wait until tonight and hope she crashes early. It looks doubtful though.

Being silly, getting dirty

Yesterday was so nice out! After Cammie's nap we met Amy, Trevor and Brendan at the playground in our community and spent some time there. When we came home we stayed out in the yard with the dogs until Joe came home. It was so nice out. Then after dinner Joe wanted to go see his friend who was working at the south station for QAC and he took Cammie with him. So I got to spend some leisurely time doing nothing. It was very nice, my back was really hurting so I laid down and read a magazine and relaxed!! I got caught up on the Kardashian gossip..... Anyway, today is not so nice out, it's warm enough but just kind of gray and gloomy. I need my sunshine back!!!

Yesterday we went to Tot Time in the morning and Cammie had lots of fun playing with Maria, Trevor and Brendan. I can't remember the other kids names. We stopped at the library on the way home and she said BYE to everyone there. After a nap we played in the backyard with the dogs until Joe came home. After dinner spent some more time outside and then it was finally bedtime!!! It was a gorgeous day out and today is another one!! We have been playing hide and seek this morning (we have been up a lot earlier than I would like!) and this afternoon we are going to meet Amy and the boys at the playground.

What can I get into next???

Don't let the face fool you!!!! She is up to something!! We had a busy weekend this weekend. Fisher and Granny Franny came over yesterday and we went to Rams Head for lunch and watched the Maryland game. I was disappointed in the food and so was Joe. Usually it's so yummy there but it was weird yesterday. Anyway, we had a great visit with the Fishers. AND they brought a cake that was REALLY good!! Thank you!!! This morning Cammie and I got up early, well we all got up early thanks to Clyde..... I dropped Cammie off at my Mom and Dad's and then I went to help out at the Adopt A Lab Day at the Towson Petsmart. Yikes!! About 9 labs found their forever home so it was nice and they were having a bunny rescue too, so I wanted to bring a bunch of dogs and rabbits home. I used great restraint though. And actually I didn't know they had bunny rescue but it makes sense. Cammie had a great time hanging out with Mommom and Poppop, right now she is kissing a picture of all of us and Uncle Gary in Disney from December. It's very cute. I made it to the bridge just in time, for some reason traffic was backing up in both directions and other than having to go the wrong way on the west bound span we made it home in good order. Joe made us a yummy roast on the grill and now I am going to try to get Cammie to fall asleep, she has dinner, a bath and a shower (another #2 in the tub, GROSS GROSS GROSS!!!). Then I'm going to chill out and wait for The Amazing Race to come on! Hope everyone got to enjoy these nice days!!! It was beautiful out today!!

Lovin' the kitty

Had a nice day today. Cammie and I went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast with Lowanda. Yum as always. Then when we got home we played for a bit and then Cammie was ready for a nap. Got a little cleaning done while she was sleeping and then she woke up in a BAD mood. But it's improved since then and we've already had dinner (I know we eat on the old people schedule). She is finishing her bath and then we'll play for a bit and hopefully crash. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!

Smooches for the Fur Real Kitty

Once again this week got away from me. Tuesday and Wednesday Joe had off also since I had injections done in my back again and they put you to sleep so you can't drive for 24 hours plus you aren't supposed to lift etc. So that took care of Tuesday and then Wednesday morning I had an appointment with my regular doctor and then went to the grocery store. How very exciting I know!! Thursday Alice and Meaghan came over and we went to Easton and had lunch at Chilis and then went to Target. I feel I showed remarkable restraint in Target. I did Cammie stuff for her Easter basket but I really LOVE Target and could spend a ton of $$ there but I didn't. P.S. Their summer clothes and bathing suits that they have out are really cute!! Cammie has been her usual spunky self this week. She is now saying ball and thinks that the oranges in the fridge are balls and kept throwing them down the steps. She is just so funny and so fun to be with (unless you are trying to get her to go to sleep). She really likes her new bed but I think she likes cuddling better. Joe got to spend lots of quality time with her while he was off and he really enjoyed that and I know she did too.

Too cute for words!!!

Last night I couldn't get our little monkey to stay in bed. She would fall asleep, I would carry her in and then when I went downstairs or in the kitchen I would hear the pitter patter of someone running down the hall and then a big HI. After three or four attempts I think she wore me down. Joe was off today so we took the vehicles in to the shop for some needed maintenance and then we went to Tot Time. Amy's boys are sick so she wasn't there but Jenn and Maria were. It was freezing in the room but Cammie liked showing Daddy all the things she likes to play with! Came home for lunch and then Cammie and I took a nap, a really good nap! I'm afraid she is getting a cold again though because she started with a runny nose this afternoon and I don't feel well. I can't wait for warmer weather!! So anyway, we had a pretty lazy afternoon and got Chinese food for dinner. Cammie just fell asleep a little bit ago and now I am ready to relax! Have to get up early to go an appointment to get more injections in my back in the morning.

A terrifying night last night.....

Well we had a nice day yesterday, if you don't count the endless driving around Arundel Mills. We got sushi for dinner and Cammie went to sleep relatively easily. We were all sleeping (all 2 and 4 legged family members) when the smoke detector went off. It's gone off a couple of times due to dust in our little heater but this time you could smell smoke. Cammie was still asleep so Joe ran downstairs and I started opening windows. When he turned the light on you could see how thick the smoke was. I was handling things OK until I went down the steps and he yelled to get Cammie out of the house, he had put the dogs outside when they ran down the steps with him. I grabbed a blanket and her and ran next door to Sharon and Ken's. Ken went over to help Joe and Sharon said when he opened the front door you could smoke pour out. Joe said later when he did something with the wood stove the wax caught on fire and that's when he got worried. We stayed next door until everything was under control. Most of the smell is gone, which once the smoke was all out of the house was really only the candle smell. Since there wasn't really a fire, there isn't any soot which is good. So we've just been trying to recover today. My nerves are still a little iffy. Cammie handled being snatched out of her bed and ran outside very well. She didn't cry or anything. We are all fine!! Just have a few items to get on our must buy list and we won't be putting candles on the wood stove again. Check your smoke detectors though!!! Ours definitely saved us because I'm not kidding, the house was full of smoke and it was only getting worse.

Trying not to blow away!!!

It's been really windy but so far no snow other than a few flurries. For not accomplishing very much the past few days they have gone by pretty quickly. We had lots of fun at the Playzone on Tuesday however my back has been killing me even more since then!! Wednesday Cammie and I just hung out at home, on Thursday we were supposed to meet Meaghan and go to Target and to lunch. I didn't feel very well on Thursday morning so we rescheduled for next week. I told Cammie that we weren't going to see Meaghan until next week and she got a little fussy but apparently it bothered her more than I thought. I found out later that she called and left a voicemail for Alice right after that. She has the cell phone down! Thursday afternoon after a long nap my friend Jennifer the realtor invited us to come over again so Cammie and Maria could play and we could go through some clothes that a friend of hers had given her. So anyway, we came home with a huge box of clothes for spring and summer!

Last night Cammie not only got herself out of her bed and came into our room but she climbed up on the ottoman and into bed with us! She laid right down on Pudge and went back to sleep. She did her screaming thing though towards morning. We aren't big fans of that. Today Joe was off and he and Cammie stayed home this morning while I ran a couple of errands and went to the chiropractor who I didn't like. When I got home we left to go across the bridge to Trader Joe's. Neither of us had been there before and we really didn't find anything we were interested in but it was really crowded. We left there and went to Red Robin for a late lunch and then walked into the mall to go to Stride Rite to get Miss Thing's feet measured. She is already up to a size 7 wide!! Yikes!! Now we've just been hanging out playing with a new set of Legos and watching TV. Joe is taking a nap so he can watch Diner's Drive Ins and Dives later!!!

Sliding down the slide like a big girl!

Yesterday Cammie and I met Mollie and Brady at the Ultimate Playzone. That place is insane!! I like it and Cammie has fun but I think next time Joe needs to go. I am in agony from having to help her up all the slides etc. She can get in the moonbounce by herself but she can't manage the steps on the slides yet. She tries though. At one point I got her to the top and kind of heaved her onto the little landing then tried to get myself up there, by the time I did she was down the slide and ready to go back up the steps again. Sigh..... I figured she would sleep all the way home but she waited until we got off the bridge and dozed off promptly waking up when I pulled into the driveway and then I couldn't get her back to sleep. So she got kind of nasty after dinner so we laid down around 6 and she just crashed. She did wake up later around 9 or so and I brought her in bed with us and she watched TV for a while and then I fell asleep so I have no idea what she did. She woke up early this morning and is now napping in her bed! We unplugged the monitor sensor pad so hopefully when she wakes up and gets up she won't get scared because it won't make that loud beeping noise anymore. Well my back is killing me and we are supposed to get more snow. Lovely!

AWWW Elmo!!

Yesterday we went to Ellicott City to pick up some of the recycled firewood blocks. When we got home Alice came over to hang out for a while. We took Cammie for a walk and she had more fun stomping in the puddles. Cammie missed her nap also since she didn't want to sleep in the car so she was out by 630 I guess. I got to relax for a while. She did wake up a couple of times and I got her back to sleep and in her bed so that was nice. I got to watch The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss. This morning we went to Tot Time and Cammie got to play with Maria and Brendan and Trevor. I got to chat with Amy and Jenn. Jenn brought Cammie a few dresses that Maria has an overabundance of and they are so cute!!! And I must have either looked pitiful or still had my bitchy pants on because Amy gave me a candy bar! I'm not hard to please!! We stopped at the library on the way home and then ate some lunch and then Cammie crashed. She didn't sleep as long as I thought she would but hopefully that means she will go to bed earlier tonight!! She does really good getting out of her bed during the night and she comes out in the hallway. I think I do need to get a nightlight for our room because I think she is afraid to walk in there. I do put the gate up right at the end of the hallway and close the office door so she can't go anywhere but in her room or ours.
