What a disgusting rainy day today. Joe had to work yesterday and got home this morning, so we just kind of chilled out for the morning since I was up most of the night too. In the afternoon he got the Christmas stuff out and I started decorating the tree. Cammie was so funny watching me unwrap ornaments, her eyes would get so big and she would smile. We had some good play time today. This damp weather makes my back hurt worse but what doesn't? We moved the tv up into the living room and it makes it seem so small in there. We're going to do some reorganizing after Christmas. Cammie watched some football with Joe but it was really funny when we were watching part of the Maryland/Georgetown basketball game, she couldn't take her eyes off the tv. Joe thinks it was because she liked the squeaks of the sneakers. Our little sports fan!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble Gobble!
Started out the day right with breakfast at Cracker Barrel! Yum! Sorry Lynn, I know I promised not to go without you but I didn't think you wanted a call at 730 this morning. We did go with Chris and we got a table right away but had to wait a bit for the food. Which was fine since it was really good. This afternoon we went to Meaghan and Rick's for Thanksgiving dinner and it was a packed house, Emily, Matthew, Alice, Mike, Donna, Bill, Andrew, Paul, Daniel, Joe and Melissa and of course Meaghan and Rick. Cammie copped quite the attitude and yelled for a long time. She has never been so upset. She even threw up a couple of times because she had gotten herself so worked up. After a wardrobe change and a nap on Aunt Donna (poor Aunt Alice, I need to start bringing an extra shirt for her too along with Cammie's stuff!) she was in a much better mood (Cammie not Donna). Dinner was really good. Meaghan cooked a turkey and we did a smaller deep fried one that turned out pretty good. I've never had one cooked like that and we both liked it a lot. Finally got Cammie to settle down and fall asleep, hopefully after all that she'll sleep through the night!
Hope everyone had a great day!

Had a slow start to the day today, Cammie had a good nights sleep but also took a looong nap this morning. The naps are good with me since I still am having trouble sleeping at night, partly because my back hurts I think. I mean I know my back hurts. Anyway, this afternoon we went next door to hang out with Sharon and Becca. That was fun. Cammie played with some blocks and cuddled with Sharon and was mostly friendly until she realized she was tired. So she took a power nap on Sharon's lap. Got some cute pics I'll post in the next couple of days. Then it was home for some dinner and quality time with Daddy! He went downstairs to watch the news so I may have to go wake him up to go to bed. He knows you can't go to bed tired! When Cammie doesn't take an afternoon nap (or doesn't take a very long one) I feel bad because she goes to bed earlier and then Joe doesn't get to see her much when he gets home, because he's tired from getting up so early. Luckily he is off for the next few days so we'll get some good family time in. We definitely have to do something with the dogs, I think they are feeling neglected. Pudge will be very happy that his best pal will be home for a few days!

Not much going on around here, just gearing up for Thanksgiving. Joe spent most of the weekend working outside and of course keeping the house clean is a job and a half. Cammie has been entertaining us both. She is eating much better and enjoying herself more I think. Right now she is laying in her crib making smacking noises. I think it's funny. She sends lots of smooches to all her fans!

I really don't like winter! The cold makes my back hurt worse. Poor Joe spent most of the day splitting wood for the fireplace so his back is bothering him also. He did take time out to watch the Ravens game with Cammie. Other than that we didn't do much today. I needed a day to recover from all of the excitement yesterday. I know that's pitiful isn't it? Cammie had a big dinner tonight. She ate a jar of peas and half a jar of bananas (I have to say that is the most disgusting of all the baby food items to me so far, although the peas didn't invoke the best image) and a whole little bottle of apple juice. She seems quite pleased with herself. I can't bring myself to taste any of the baby food but as I said the bananas and peas have to be the least appetizing so far. And I like both of those things, the carrots and sweet potatoes don't bother me and I don't like cooked carrots or sweet potatoes. I guess if I was a "good" mom I'd break out the food processor and make all of her food from organic veggies that I lovingly hand washed in organic eco friendly soap and dried with sustainable material towels, then I could change her cloth diapers and .... well if I was a bird I'd chew the food for her and that ain't happening either. :o) Hope everyone had a good weekend. Stay warm!!! Cammie sends her love and big smooches to everyone!

Social day today! Cammie and I went to see her Mommom and Poppop and then we met Uncle Gary and Uncle Michael and Cammie's great Grandparents for lunch. We had a really nice visit with my Mom and Dad. Cammie got have her Poppop play the guitar for her, she really liked that. We went to Bateman's for lunch and had a lot of laughs. Uncle Gary almost made me spew pepsi out of my nose. Cammie slept through most of the outrageous and inappropriate at times conversation. On my way home I stopped by to see Debbie and Steve for a couple of minutes. Luckily Debbie went back to regular duty so hopefully I will get to see her more often now that she is back on shift work. When we got home the pups had been visited by the petsitter Melissa who is awesome so they were quite happy. I'm exhausted though! Tomorrow I think we're just going to hang out and work more on getting the house organized.

It's blustery and snowy outside today! Joe had off so we took Cammie to Teddy Time at the library. Which is like story time but it's nursery rhymes and stuff for babies and no craft project obviously. It was cute. There were two other babies there. Then we went to the grocery store for milk and toilet paper, just kidding although we did need milk. Not much else exciting going on. I stepped on Pudge's foot and I'm not sure he has forgiven me yet. I'll be paying for that for a while. At least Joe was home and witnessed it so Pudge didn't have to wait all day and then limp when Daddy got home to let him know he had been "injured".

It's beginning to feel a lot like winter. Ugh. Thank goodness for the woodstove, we still haven't had to turn the heat on yet. We did get a little heater to put in Cammie's room and we have one in our bedroom so that helps too. Of course four dogs in the room also generates quite a bit of heat as well. Someone should look into that.... Cammie and I had a good day. Lynn stopped by to see us and then we did a little shopping with Sharon. Cammie is turning into quite the savvy shopper and she doesn't scream in the stores anymore. Yay! She also is doing so good eating, of course now the added challenge is trying to get the spoon around her foot that she is also trying to stuff in her mouth. Yikes!

I can't believe how excited Cammie gets when she eats now. She squeals and laughs. I guess it has to be better than formula all the time. That stuff smells so gross. Of course it takes a while to clean off her chins and cheeks, that is a two person job at best. But she always looks so pleased with herself. She's very funny. She is also getting better at entertaining herself with her toys when she is in the playpen or crib which is nice. I would love to hold her all the time but sometimes I would like to go to the bathroom or get something to eat too! Joe and I have been eating dinner at the kitchen table instead of downstairs in front of the TV and Cammie sits either in her swing or high chair and provides entertainment for us while we eat!

Cammie is definitely getting the hang of this eating thing. She had cereal with apple juice this morning, which oddly didn't go over as well as the orange veggies. Then she took a good nap. I had a doctors appointment this afternoon so Cammie went and stayed with Chris until Kristin and Cassidy got home from school and Ashley got home from work. Cammie was asleep when I got back and the girls said she was a little fussy until they put her in front of the mirror (vain!!). Chris wasn't there so I don't know how he made out with Cammie for the hour or so they hung out. Hopefully she didn't traumatize him too much!!!

What a weird day. It started out rainy and icky and then got warm and gorgeous out, then we had a torrential downpour. I guess it will snow next. Cammie had a pretty good night last night. I only got up to give her the binky a few times and she slept til about 7 this morning. I swear she wakes up in a great mood, all smiles and giggles. She does NOT get that from me. This afternoon she ate a whole jar of sweet potatoes. I was apprehensive about giving them to her after the fiasco Alice had but she loved it. She was attacking the spoon and everything. Of course when we were done it looked like a scene out of Jaws. She was covered in it, somehow she got it under the bib. I also had them all over me from the lady like sneeze that sprayed me. When she was done, she drank about an ounce of apple juice gave a dainty burp and asked what was next on the menu.
I think I fixed the comment thing so that if anyone has anything to add you should be able to. Also please click on the google ads for me. I think I get like a penny every time someone clicks on them, then four years later when it adds up to 100 bucks they send you a check. So far I think we've made $2.16. woo hoo!!! Have a great weekend!!!!!

Today was another gross day outside. The poor dogs are ready to revolt. Or move to a drier climate. Since Cammie had 2 successful days of eating her oatmeal I tried a spoonful of carrots (baby food really looks and smells unappetizing), she ate that with minimal difficulty and then kept opening her mouth so I gave her another spoonful (I mean an adult sized spoonful in baby spoon portions). She ended up just about finishing the jar. Of course she was covered in orange goo but she really seemed to like the carrots. Yay! Hopefully she will get the hang of this eating thing because you would think the poor child is starving when she drinks her bottle. Of course all you have to do is look at the little chunky monkey to see that isn't true!
No big plans for the weekend, just hanging out trying not to spend money. Although we do need groceries. (chocolate)

I thought last night would be a good night because Cammie didn't take much of any naps during the day and she stayed awake until about 8. I laid her on our bed so I could brush my teeth and she fussed at me for a couple of minutes and then stopped. I looked at her and she was sound asleep and didn't move when I put her in her crib. That lasted until maybe 11. At midnight she was hungry and didn't want to go back to bed after eating. Then when she finally did she woke up about every hour or so. UHHHH! She did allow me to take a nap this morning before we went to story time. We weren't going to go since it is pouring out and Sharon and Becca weren't going but I remembered I had library books due today so we braved the downpour. Cammie seemed to enjoy story time as usual although some little germy boy with a runny nose kept trying to touch her hand. He was really cute if you overlooked the river of snot. I managed to keep my freakout to a minimum until I could get a wipe to clean off whatever he may have touched. I know she is going to get sick eventually and we have survived two head colds already but I'm not looking to invite trouble you know. On the way home from the library we stopped to see Ms. Robin and Mr. Charles. Cammie was her usual cheery self and loved all the attention lavished on her. She fell asleep on the ride home around the corner and slept through being lifted out of the carseat into her crib and is still napping an hour later. Of course it is still miserable out. The dogs don't even want to go outside. I guess if I paid attention to the news I would know if this was effects from a near miss of Hurricane (or tropical storm) Palin I mean Paloma. heh heh

Last night we went over to visit Chris and Julie and the girls, Ashley, Kristin and Cassidy. Cammie got passed around and socialized. She seemed to enjoy it and stayed awake for almost two hours. She slept pretty well last night and took a good nap today. Joe went to the union meeting this morning and then when he got home we did some more stuff around the house to get it looking decent. It's coming together slowly. I have some new pics just have to download them to the computer, hopefully tomorrow!

Cammie did well sleeping in her big girl crib in her own room last night, once she finally fell asleep. I swear she thinks she will miss something or else she really likes the Amazing Race. The dogs did not do so well so we are going to regroup tomorrow and figure something out. Cammie had her 4 month check up this morning and she met the new doctor, Dr. Parker and also had some flirty time with Dr. K. Our little bunny is 15 pounds 7.5 ounces and is 26 and 1/2 inches long. Yikes!!! Joe and I had a bet to see who could guess her weight and he won. She also got 4 immunizations again and wasn't real happy about that. But she did well. She is doing everything she should be doing and then some so no worries thus far. Yay! Joe just took Pudge with him to go to the convenience store and Bailey and Clyde seem to be picketing by the door in outrage so gotta go.... :o)

Cammie is definitely feeling better today. Much less coughing and sneezing. Tonight we are going to sleep upstairs, so it will be her first night sleeping alone in her room in her big girl crib. I hope it goes well. I can't sleep well anyway so I should be fine but I'll miss her being right next to the bed!! I could just reach right over and pop the Binky back in her mouth if she got fussy. (I even had a spare one on the nightstand in case I couldn't find the original!) I know I'm spoiled! Little Miss Thing sat up for a few seconds on her own this morning. I was very excited. We go for her four month check up tomorrow, I can't believe it!!! She is getting so big. Right now her and Daddy are watching the Ravens game. I forgot to put her a jersey so they will probably lose. Sorry! Not much else is going on.

Yesterday was rough. My little sunny bunny was cranky and yelled at me for about two hours in the afternoon. She seems to be feeling better today from her cold. We didn't go to story time yesterday because I didn't want to take her out since she wasn't feeling well. She didn't sleep much last night and so far hasn't taken much of a nap. I think part of it she doesn't want to miss anything that is going on. She's quite nosy at times. In a cute way of course. Joe is off today so we can get some family time in! It's gorgeous outside!!

It's gross outside today. Rainy and cold. Emily and Matthew came by to move some more of Emily's boxes to her new place and she watched Cammie for me so I could go do my civic duty and vote. I can't wait for the political calls to stop. They are so annoying. Anyway, Cammie and I have had a good day so far. She is napping right now and this is the longest she has slept in a while, maybe because it's so dreary out. Not much else planned for today. Boring I know!!!

Full house on Sunday
We had a chili dinner at our house yesterday and lots of company! Alice and Emily came over early and hung out with us. Meaghan and Rick came and Meaghan brought us a box of thin mint cookies! YUM Joe admitted later he isn't big on cookies so I guess that means I can eat the whole box, he later clarified that to mean certain kinds of cookies so I guess he'll be upset when he gets home and the box is gone. (kidding). Donna and Bill also came and so did Andrew so he got to meet Cammie for the first time! Also Jennifer and Matthew came with their new daughter Grace so Cammie got to meet her second cousin too! I'll post some pics of everyone soon. Alice tried to feed Cammie some more baby food to see if she had any better luck with it but she didn't. She did however get real tears from it. Donna put a little icing on Cammie's binky and she didn't have any problem with that so obviously someone has a sweet tooth. Who doesn't though. I know it's still early for food but she's been so hungry we thought we would give it a try. It was so cute though earlier in the day she was getting sleepy so I laid in her in the crib in her room and put on a Baby Einstein dvd (we got a bunch of them from Jenn and Matt O'Neill and they are awesome!) and she fell right to sleep listening to Baby Bach! No rocking or holding or anything! Such a big girl! We don't have much planned for today just trying to recover from the weekend's festivities.

Bingo Saturday
Cammie got a Daddy day saturday. I went to play bingo at Winfield VFD with Alice, Donna and Melissa. Alice and I didn't win anything. Boooo! It was fun though but long and my back is killing me from sitting. Joe had a good day with Cammie, she got fussy with him for a bit in the evening. But after crabby hour he said she was ok. He also managed to make it through without a poopy diaper which she did about 15 minutes after I got home. I tried to find out what he bribed her with to hold it but she wasn't giving up any info to me. Such a Daddy's girl!
Happy Halloween! Booooo...
Cammie's first Halloween and Joe's birthday were good. We hung out at the house and then went and visited with Matt and Jenn and their cuties Brooke and Brody. Brooke made Cammie laugh so hard it was so cute! Cammie yelled at Jenn at first but then she settled down and we had a nice visit! That evening we took Cammie modified trick or treating to a couple of houses. She wore her pumpkin onesie that Sharon made for her and I thought she looked rather festive! One little boy even gave her one of his treats. That was so sweet and score, it was a pack of skittles which I love. We didn't have as many trick or treaters as we thought we would with Halloween being on a friday so the evening was rather quiet.
