I'm ready to cook dinner!!

Yes we do clean off our pots and pans before we use them!! By the way what happened to spring? It was chilly again today, all my seedlings that were doing so well in the house are dying. UGH. Now I have to start over.

Today Meaghan came over and brought us some new stash (of home made Easter eggs that is). They are so addicting!! We went to the outlets for a little while and NO I did not go into Carters!! Can you believe it? I did buy Cammie a pink baseball cap at Old Navy but that's the only thing she got! She was very good and very social the whole time we walked around. We shared an Auntie Annie's pretzel and then we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. The psycho waitress was there but luckily she didn't see (or grope) me. Our food came out really quickly this time too so they are off my list. Cammie and I shared a grilled bacon and cheese (I ate all the bacon), cole slaw and hash brown casserole (I think I am addicted to that stuff too!). So she was pretty happy. When Joe got home I went to Physical Therapy and I am NOT happy with the therapist. I thought my neck and shoulder hurt when I went in. YIKES!! He had me do all kinds of exercises, which I know is the point of PT but it's not boot camp for goodness sake! Cammie is asleep already but I'm not sure how long it will last, she cat napped in the car this afternoon for about five minutes twice so she may have crashed. I've given up trying to figure it out.

OK, it's cold again, what happened to spring??? We had a good day today, stopped by to see Nanny Robin. Cammie fussed a little at first but was laughing and enjoying herself after a few minutes. Then we went to CVS for a few things and when we drove back by Ms. Robin's Angel and Nicole were outside so we popped in to say hi to them. Cammie was anxious to get home for a bottle and a nap so we only said hi and left! Joe got home shortly after that and I went to physical therapy. I just have one word to say about that. OUCH!! My shoulder and neck are so sore but it felt so good when the therapist was digging those knots out. I guess a better term would be hurt so good. I signed Cammie and myself up for Mommy and Me swimming sessions starting next Monday. Hopefully they will go well. The pool at Waters Edge is heated for therapy so I like that. It's only half an hour once a week for four weeks. Should be fun! Going to go try to recover from being manhandled at therapy.

Having a laugh with Daddy!

Another weird weather day today. Lots of thunder this morning, rain and then sun! Congrats to the Orioles for kicking the Yankee's butts!! Can't wait to go to a game again this season. Also looks like UNC is playing some good bball, I've got them as the winners in my bracket so I've got my fingers crossed! Just remember a wise person once said, the way to win a basketball game is to get the ball in the basket. Maybe not a wise person but one of the announcers said it!

Cammie kept me on my toes today, we played a lot! We have to find some more toys for her. She really likes her books and will spend time looking at them but it's hard to find other things to keep her interest. I guess with her being brilliant and all it's tough to keep her occupied. hee hee

A little late for St Patty's Day!!

What a beautiful weekend! It was a little windy yesterday but today was great. Joe got a bunch of stuff done in the yard and I helped some. Cammie liked being outside and supervising. Pudge and Clyde made a break for freedom yesterday and today Bailey joined them. Joe got them all back but they scare me to death when they run out in the street, they have no fear of the road. Luckily they don't get out of the yard often because of the new (well not so new anymore) fence. Joe finally got in touch with Enterprise yesterday about our rental car and Lynn took him down to pick it up. They gave him a Chrysler Sebring convertible but he has to trade it in for something else tomorrow, so we got that issue taken care of. Now it's just a matter of physical therapy (ugh) and finding out what the heck the guy that hit us is up to. We have no idea how long the Journey will be in the shop.

Cammie spent some time playing with Eva today, they were so cute together! Olivia gave us the little seat with wheels that you scoot around in and Cammie had fun cruising around the driveway. Speaking of cruising, she is really doing that around stuff now, that started a couple of days ago. She goes up and down the couch and around the coffee table. It's so funny. She also made it up the step out back all by herself. Such a big girl!!! Hope everyone got to enjoy the nice weather this weekend, it seemed like our whole neighborhood was out working in their yards!

How can I get out of here??????

I think we had every type of weather today except for snow. It rained it's @$$ off for a while, just enough to make the yard look like an extension of the bay. UGH. Muddy yard= muddy dogs= muddy house. Bleahhh. Anyway, this afternoon turned out pretty nice, we had a guy come out to give us an estimate for a new roof using 100% recycled rubber shingles. We're trying to go green!! Then I went to physical therapy, when I got there the therapist asked how my right shoulder was and I said fine it felt great, she was like wow you just had your eval with (insert person's name I already forgot here) on Wednesday. I told her it was my left shoulder that I injured and she proceeded to tell me that (again with the name I forgot) got fired. Ahhh. Anyway, she worked me over pretty good after that. When I got home Cammie and Joe were napping on the couch. They looked so cute!!! Oh and I neglected to mention, Cammie slept all night in her own bed last night!!! When they woke up we went to Easton and had dinner at Applebees where Cammie entertained everyone she could. I told Joe she is either cut out to be a paramedic/firefighter because she can wake up and be alert at a moments notice or a cop because she needs to sit where she can see all the action in the room. Too funny. We then stopped in to see Joe's friend Henry for a minute and then hit Target. Cammie had a bit of a meltdown on the way so we stopped and got her some oragel, I'm pretty certain that her top teeth are coming in. She was fine in Target because there was lots to look at and tons of people to charm. She cried when we got back in the car and then just as quickly fell asleep and slept all the way home. I actually managed for the first time to get her in the house and into her crib without her waking up. I won't pat myself on the back yet (my shoulder hurts anyway!!) because it's only 1000 but we'll see how long it lasts. On that note I'm going to go try to chill out a bit. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Batten down the hatches, it's supposed to be a windy one tomorrow!!!

Mommy's little helper (sort of)

Another yucky day today, it wasn't too chilly but just overcast in general and foggy. Cammie was just full of herself all day. No interest in taking a nap at all. We had fun though, she really likes watching the dogs run around in the yard. Joe has off tomorrow so hopefully I can out of my house arrest!! We have someone coming to look at our roof after lunch and then I have physical therapy at 4, hopefully they can do something to loosen up my neck and shoulder. Cammie is actually asleep now although I'm sure I've jinxed myself by admitting that. I'm going to chill out for a bit until Survivor comes on.

What the heck happened to spring?? Today was another dreary damp day. UGH. I still feel so weird not having a vehicle. Joe did come home early so I could go to physical therapy, I hate the initial visit because they always make you do all the moving and stuff and you hurt worse afterwards. The therapist gave me some home stretches to do and I have to go three times a week for a month. Such fun. Still no word about the guy who hit us. Our agent finally personally called Joe today but had nothing really to report.

Cammie slept most of last night in her own bed, she woke up when Joe was getting ready for work. When he checked on her when he got up she was laying on her stomach with her butt up in the air, which I think is funny. Not much else going on...

Even I think I'm cute!!!

Not much going on today, it was pretty nice out this afternoon so we chatted over the fence with Sharon and Becca. Cammie ran me ragged all day. Whew! We had a lot of fun though, she didn't want to go to sleep at all tonight, or maybe she just wanted to see who got voted off the Biggest Loser because she passed out right after that. Am I raising a reality chick or what??? The pups were happy since we spent some time outside, you know with them being labs and all they will chase the frisbee or ball until you get sick of throwing it. :o) No word from State Farm today, big surprise. Can't wait to go to PT tomorrow, I almost wish I could just go to a chiropractor and have him snap my neck for me. I'm crossing my fingers that Cammie stays asleep in her own bed tonight!! Good night!

So into Blue's Clues!!

We were going to go to Arundel Mills today but had to make an appointment for Sears to come fix the washing machine and of course they tell you they'll be there between 8 and 5. When Joe called this morning they said they'd be here late afternoon so like at 930 when we were just about to walk out the door the guy called and said he'd be here between 12 and 2. AAAHHH. At least he caught us before we left. AND he actually got here about 145. Naturally he has to come back.... UGH. So we just went to Lowes (the local nursery) <- plants not children, and got some things for the yard. We're trying to find some plants that will not appeal to Clyde's desire to eat our landscaping. Cammie had a really good day today, she was looking for Aunt Alice and Aunt Donna to feed her though!!! We had fun playing and she got to take a good nap with Daddy. He has to go back to work tomorrow so we're on our own. The body shop called and said that they were going to fix my car however they have no idea when or where to get the parts since the car is a 2009. So it could take weeks. They also need to get someone in to fix the drivers seat. What a pain!! We still haven't heard any word about the guy who hit us either. I made a physical therapy appointment for Wednesday because I can't take this stiff neck anymore, it's giving me a headache and making me dizzy (no comments from the peanut gallery!!!). Gotta go, going to see if I can get Cammie to go to sleep before The Big Bang Theory comes on. Wishful thinking on my part!!!!!

Um, excuse me, I'm in the tub!!!

Here's Cammie in her new big(ger) girl tub. I'm sure she will love this pic when she gets older and has her first boyfriend (when she's 40 at least). Anyway, we had a good weekend. Saturday we went to dinner with Mom and Dad and then Cammie stayed with them while we went to a surprise birthday party for Jamie. I saw some people I haven't seen in a while like Christine and Heather and Johnny. It was a lot of fun! I'm sure we left well before the real fun started though. When we got back to Mom and Dad's they said that Cammie wasn't real happy when we left but she finally wore herself out and fell asleep. She was asleep again before we got to Harford Road and slept all the way home.

Today was really pretty out, got to open the windows and air out some of the winter blahs. We went to dinner at Meaghan and Ricks. Alice, Mike, Donna and Bill were all there. We were supposed to have dinner last weekend but that was rudely interrupted when someone ran into our car! That was nice and yummy, Cammie had a lot to eat, Alice made apple sauce which was a big hit and there were mashed potatoes and Cornish game hens with cheesecake for dessert (and of course biscuits). Cammie sampled everything and loved it all. I was not so happy when she threw up on me a little while ago though. Bleahhhhh

Joe is off tomorrow so we'll do something fun, hopefully it will be nice out and hopefully we will hear something from the insurance company. I'm going to go ahead and schedule my physical therapy because my neck and shoulder have been killing me (they hurt worse than my low back which is really saying something!)

NEED HELP!!

I want to enter Cammie in another contest (stupid Regis and Kelly). It's for the cover of Babytalk magazine. I need to pick a pic from the last month that show her cuteness and personality. I'm leaning towards the one in the blue princess pj's but I would like some input!! The contest just started and ends May 31 so help me pick a picture of my little cutie!! (I know I'm biased but everyone keeps telling me how cute she is too!!!)

I can't eat the grass because......

This pic was from last Sunday when it was nice out. Got out of the house to run some errands this morning and get my hair cut. Joe had fun dealing with State Farm again today. They called about the medical issues and wanted to know if Cammie was complaining of pain anywhere. When he told them she was only 8 months old they said they thought she was 8 years old. Then they also said that the guy who hit us told them that he had so many vehicles (for his business I guess) that he MAY have given the wrong insurance info to the police and he would call them with the correct info. OK, it's been a week, do they really think he is going to call? Are these people for real? I probably could have told them that Santa and his reindeer flew into us and they'd be like oh, just make sure you get your car out of the impound lot as soon as you can. Duty's (the body shop) did get my car in to look at it today, Joe talked to one of the guys this afternoon and he said there was some pretty significant damage underneath so I've got my fingers crossed.

I have found the pots and pans!!!

Disregard our ugly cabinets, we plan on getting a new kitchen! Cammie had no trouble at all finding the cabinets that she wanted and she loved getting all the pots and pans out. We stick the potatoes under there too and she pulls that bag out as well. What a rainy gross day today! Where is spring??? Of course I had no plans to go anywhere today but because I don't have a car I have this uncontrollable urge to just go somewhere!! I feel like I'm grounded or something! Cammie and I did have fun playing today and she had chicken pot pie for dinner which she liked a lot. Big surprise, I know, she liked her food! You can hardly see the bump on her head which makes me feel better! Poor little thing, she's had a rough few days. Joe is off now until Tuesday and we have some plans this weekend so that should be nice. Oh- about the song on the blog, I chose it because Cammie likes it, she waves her arms in the air and wiggles around, shaking her booty! It's funny. I guess we'll be sending her to Uncle Gary for dance lessons at some point!!! Hopefully she'll have better rhythm than mommy!

It's been a busy couple of days. Yesterday Sharon highlighted my hair for me and she did a great job. I think she should go pro. hee hee. I wish I could return the favor but I'm not good at things like that. Today we had to take Cammie to the doctor. UGH! She crawled over to our tv stand and just as I was getting up to move her away from it she slipped and hit her head on the edge of the shelf. It bruised up right away and she was screaming! She did stop as soon as I picked her up though which made me feel better. She also let me put some ice on it which helped alot but we wanted to take her to the doctor because of her being in the accident on friday. I felt a little silly taking her to the doc for a bump but I'd rather err on the side of caution and Dr. K is very understanding. He also is very cool with Joe and my background so he seems to really respect our input (especially when he found out I used to work in the PICU). Of course it's been years since my peds knowledge was fresh but oh well.... We went down to see Chris and Julie, Ashley, Kristen and Cassidy this evening too. They were glad to see Cammie although when we left her for a couple of minutes with the girls she cried which surprised me.

Nothing to report with the accident except State Farm is really disappointing us!
