Just hanging around the house today. Cammie was having issues with her teeth and was kind of fussy. Joe went to the grocery store for me, he gets big points for that! Then he did some stuff outside while I tried to keep Cammie entertained. She is doing a lot of pulling up on things. Joe lowered her crib down some so she doesn't launch herself over the edge. Not very much exciting happening today. Tomorrow Joe is going to work for 24 hours, and leave me alone with the beasts and the baby!! Hopefully we will all make it through! Just kidding, sort of. I think the worst part is night time. I sleep even worse and the dogs don't sleep very well either when Joe isn't here. Cammie could go either way.

We had a good day today! Alice came over and we took Cammie to Carters. She needed some new pj's and of course I found a couple of other things for her. The summer clothes are too cute! We also checked out Old Navy to see if anything was on sale in there and while we were in the store I smelled something a little suspicious and when I picked up Cammie I realized we had a serious code brown in effect. I always pack a clean outfit in case of such an emergency but had neglected to today because we weren't going to be gone that long. Sooo luckily I had bought her something at Carters to wear because she was a mess. Alice provided much needed backup because for some reason Cammie decided to scream her head off while we were trying to clean her up. and keep her from falling off those stupid changing tables that I hate. We told her that if she wanted to wear a new outfit she could just ask, but the ironic thing is she was wearing a Winnie the Pooh sweatsuit and onesie. Coincidence?? Poo in the Pooh? Maybe those outfits are little too suggestive. Enough of that! Joe was home today and got to spend some quality time with the beasts, Pudge was very happy about that! Cammie took a long enough afternoon nap that Joe and I got to enjoy our dinner and then we hung out this evening. Everyone is sleeping now and Clyde is snoring like a fat trucker. Ugh Have a good weekend!!!

In the heart of the jungle a Cammie is captured on film!

Last night was interesting. Cammie didn't stay asleep long after she went to bed and then after I got her in bed with us and got comfortable the disgusting happened. Bailey threw up on Joe. You all know how much he loves the body fluid thing. Then before he could get up she did it again. EWWWW!!!!! It was so gross. So by the time we got the bed changed Cammie was wide awake again and ready to party. We've been playing today a lot and she has eaten a lot so maybe that will wear her out for tonight.

Daddy helped Cammie stand up but once she was up she was on her own! She got face to face with the orange monkey and thought that was the coolest thing. She also acted like she wanted to crawl again too. She's got the motions she just needs to put it all together. What happened to my little tiny baby?????

Cammie had a fussy day today but I wasn't in the greatest mood either so we were good company. I finally got her to bed about 930 and hopefully she will stay there for the night! She was wound up earlier, sitting in her jumper and just squealing really loudly. It was funny.

All of our pretty snow has turned to slush as it rained all day today, well it iced first just to make it even lovelier. The dogs were funny crunching around in the backyard. I don't think they liked the ice too much. Clyde looked like a polar bear lumbering through the yard.

Update on Pudge

I forgot to mention that Pudge's cyst is benign and will go away on it's own. Thank goodness!! The vet called yesterday morning to give the news. The only thing we have to watch for is infection. His paw is also doing better! He sends sloppy kisses to everyone!!!!

A rare sighting of sleeping Cammie

Last night was another party night. I still think it's the teeth. I keep checking the top and haven't felt anything yet but they have to be coming. As soon as I put oragel on her gums she calms down.

Emily came to see us this morning and Cammie was a little grouchy but she showed off her toys and played a little and spit up a little but was basically cute. She did give me hug that was just adorable. Usually she will put her arms around your neck when you pick her up out of her crib but she was standing between Emily and I on the couch and she reached for me and hugged me around my neck. I immediately forgave all her sleeping difficulties and promised to buy her whatever she wants. She's so cute!!!!

It's been snowing most of the day but hasn't accumulated a whole lot, maybe an inch or so. The dogs love it, it's like they are on crack or something when they go outside. It's so funny. Not much else to report for the day.

Cammie slept better last night, or at least longer in her bed! This morning she woke up in her usual cheery mood and we kidnapped Lynn to run some errands with us so I could leave Cammie in the car with her! That saves my back if I don't have to keep getting her in and out of the car seat. (Don't tell the dogs that we had run out of wet food, they get really weird about that!) After all that this morning we were both worn out so we came home and tidied up a little bit and then hung out and played til Daddy came home. Dinner was courtesy of the crock pot so that was easy enough, although I couldn't convince Joe that I had slaved over cooking! He saw right through me. I finally got Miss Thing to sleep about half an hour ago so I think I am ready to go to bed and hopefully fall asleep! She is pulling herself up a little bit more and more, she gets her butt a couple of inches off the floor and just thinks that is the best thing. The pic here was after she tilted over backwards and just decided to roll around a little.

Got a lot of stuff done around the house today. Cammie had a lot of fun playing with Daddy. Joe made vegetable beef soup for dinner and it was so good. Lots of extra so we can freeze it and have it for awhile. Cammie wasn't really interested in eating much until dinner, she ate her chicken and noodles and a whole bunch of peas. Well a good bit of the peas ended up all over her after she wrestled the spoon out of my hand. She had peas everywhere but she seemed to enjoy herself and she got a bath afterwards so it was OK. We tried giving her a bath in the hall tub the other day and that didn't go over well. That's our only tub and it is really deep and it's very awkward so I think we are going to have to think about how and what we are going to do until she gets bigger. She sat up fine but she is just so far at the end of your reach I don't like it. Plus it kills my back to bend over the side, I don't think I could lift her out when she is all slippery and wet. It's always something. Pudge seems to be doing better today. He limped off and on but his paw never bled.

Cammie and Aunt Ellis and Uncle Bruce

Today we met for lunch at Chilis in Bowie with Aunt Ellis and Uncle Bruce and Mom and Dad. It was great to see everyone and it was the first time that Cammie got her to meet her Great Aunt and Uncle. Just sorry the visit couldn't last longer but hopefully we will get to go to Charlottesville soon and spend some time there! When we got home Debbie the backup petsitter (Melissa's sister) was still at the house playing with the beasts so she got to see Cammie too, lots of new people today! Poor Pudge though, he must have a dark cloud over his head, he caught his dew claw on something in the yard and ripped it. He did the same thing on his back leg a few weeks ago on the steps, this time it's his front leg. UGH!! It bled a lot and you can tell it's sore but we wrapped it and put a sock on him, which you can tell he loves.

Anyway, we had a good day today, Cammie was very chatty and smiley at lunch and she played a lot when she got home. She faked me out at around 830 and fell asleep but she is up now sitting on my lap trying to put her two cents in. Will she ever sleep again? Stay tuned.......

Last night was bad, Cammie was in a party mood. I think she is cutting more teeth. She is so funny playing with her toys now, she squeals at them and "sings" to them. Pudge had to go to the vet today, he had to have what appears to be a cyst on his "man parts" biopsied. From what the vet said it seems to be similar to the lump that Max had on his elbow last summer and should go away on it's own but she couldn't be certain without the biopsy. It's always something! Poor Pudge. Not much else going on today.

Cammie is also quite the ham, she smiles pretty as soon as you point the camera at her!

I'm trying to get Cammie to stay asleep and so far have had no luck! She falls asleep and I get her into the crib and then she is wide awake about fifteen minutes later (if that). Ugh. She didn't nap much today either. She is starting to try to pull up on her toys and her crib rail, also she is leaning forward and trying to move towards things so we're thinking she is going to crawl soon. She rocks back and forth on her tummy and gets frustrated when she stays in the same place! She is so cute. She has also been squealing and imitating sounds lately. She is growing up so fast!!!

Whew, the past couple of days have sped by. Cammie spent some time with Sharon and Becca on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday I had to go to the bank and the post office and Cammie hung out with them and then Sharon fixed lunch while we watched the inauguration. Today I had a doctors appointment so they watched her for me again. Cammie seemed to enjoy herself, she was in a good mood when I got back and Sharon was too!! I told Cammie if she was cute and chatty she would be invited back! She is on a sleep protest again. Yikes! But has been eating up a storm. Speaking of, gotta go feed her now!

Saturday was a good day. Joe got called in to work and Cammie and I went to dinner at Donna and Bill's house. Joe was working at Lisbon so we stopped to see him on the way out there. Cammie liked seeing her Daddy at work! She was very smiley and cute to everyone! When we got to Donna's she was out with Andrew so Daniel held Cammie for me for a little bit and she really liked it. Then she got some quality time with Aunt Donna and Andrew. I think she even laughed at Paul a couple of times! Alice and Mike came but Meaghan, Rick and Emily were all no shows! We managed to make it through an evening without Cammie spitting up on Alice. She only really fussed a little bit and was basically happy to entertain everyone. She sat on Andrew's lap at dinner and we both fed her mashed potatoes and then cherry cheesecake for dessert. Daniel put his do-rag on her and I got some cute pics of that! She loved it, especially when he added the baseball cap. I guess she is going to be one of the boys! Joe B and Melissa got there just as we were leaving so we only got to see them for a few minutes. :o( When we got home the dogs were well taken care of by Melissa the pet sitter. I think we need to give some people some different names to avoid confusion!!

I went to the grocery store this morning and that was a big mistake. It was packed and it looked as though a blizzard was coming. The shelves were barren. Oh well. I got most of the stuff we needed, just had to put up with annoying people. Joe is gearing up to watch the Ravens game this evening. Cammie has been practicing her cheering all day. She was worn out last night after all the activity so she got a good night's sleep!
