Can't upload pics again! Thursday

Woke up Thursday morning and finished getting our stuff ready to go. Since we were being kicked out of the resort. We packed up the PT Cruiser rental car and headed for Orlando, making a pit stop at (I know you'll be surprised at this...) Cracker Barrel. We got to Downtown Disney around noon. Cammie got excited seeing all of the sights there. We got on the carousel which she really liked. We checked out the shops and made it out of The Christmas Store quickly after Cammie broke an ornament. Oops.... We decided to eat a late lunch at T Rex Cafe which was awesome. We would definitely go there again. The atmosphere was very cool and there was so much to look at and so much activity going on. It was great. We left DD around 315 and headed for the airport to drop off the rental car and make the trek through security. No problems finding the car dropoff, the only confusion was getting into the airport and not knowing where to go to check our bag. So we found that out and made it quickly through security which is odd for Orlando. I'm talking we walked right up to the first officer and then right over to the scanners. Joe got on the monorail to go to the departure terminal before we could so by the time Cammie and I arrived he had scoped out the flights. Our 615 flight was delayed until 635 but there was a flight leaving for BWI that was getting ready to board and leave at like 430. So we got our tickets switched to that one (which took forever by the way, if we were on The Amazing Race I would have bitch slapped about ten people) anyway, we were in the last group of about 8 people to board and we walked onto the plane and it was packed! So as we are filing down the aisle, every time we paused by a row, that person was so helpful to inform us that we could have pre boarded. Grrrr. By the time the people in front of us all got a seat, we were in the back of the plane and there were no seats left. And it's the FAA's rule that the car seat has to go next to the window. So we turned around and got off the plane and the very helpful lady at the counter said "I told you that you couldn't sit together". Sigh... I figured that we wouldn't be able to sit next to each other but someone is going to have to sit with Cammie. Long story short, we were back on our original flight. Got home late and we all crashed! Cammie slept until about 6 in her own bed and then til about 10 in ours!

Another awesome day today! We started out with breakfast right next to the beach at Mulligans. Then we headed back to the resort so Cammie and Joe could do some playing in the waves. They had a great time doing that, AND we finally got to see the rocket take off today. It wasn't much but it was still pretty cool. After the beach we hit the pool again for a while and then had our lunch by the pool. Back to the room for naps and showers. Cammie didn't nap nearly as long as we thought that she would so we were kind of wondering what to do before dinner. We drove out to the outlet mall and walked around a little bit there and then headed to The Riverside Grill for dinner. That place was really good. Joe got a huge burger, Cammie got a huge grilled cheese sandwich and I got a huge tuna melt. Are you seeing the theme here? Then we split a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert. YUM! After dinner we walked across the parking lot to the firehouse to look at the monument that they have outside, in front of it is a piece from the WTC. It was nice, and you can look right through the firehouse and see the river. We strolled around the resort for a bit and were trying to make it until the campfire but Cammie got crabby again on our way down to it so we had to miss it again. UGH!! No fire and no smores!!!! Oh well, there will be other trips I'm sure, we really like it here. Cammie also has finally gotten the hang of drinking through a straw so that has been really nice. Of course when she does it she claps, which is really cute. She also has to push the buttons for the elevator now. Tomorrow morning we have to check out. Booo!! Then we are heading back to Orlando and we are going to go to Downtown Disney. Our flight home doesn't leave until 615 so I'm sure we can find something to do to occupy our time!

Having dinner at Mr. Manatees

Another great day today. We started out with breakfast at Shutters. Mickey waffles for me and Cammie thank you very much and Joe got a yummy looking breakfast burrito. After that we did some exploring around town. Drove up to Sebastian Inlet and checked out the scenery. We were hoping to see the rocket that nasa was going launch take off but that was scrapped so no luck. We also drove into the town of Vero Beach and walked around a little. Everyone who has been here before told us there isn't a lot to do and that is very true but it suits us for right now. We were saying earlier we couldn't imagine bringing a teenager here, the resort has a lot of activities but most seem targeted at younger kids around 3 and up and adults. It's a great place to chill out and relax though, we definitely want to come back! Around lunch time we came back and got in the pool for a little while and had lunch by the pool, then back to the room for a nap for Cammie. When she finally woke up (she sleeps so well down here!) we went out to dinner at this place we saw earlier called Mr. Manatees. I wouldn't describe it as a dive but it was kind of local bar/grill kind of place. The food was so good. Joe got a burger and I got the best chicken club that I have ever had. They also had this banana split ice cream pie that was so good!!! Before dinner we did do a little driving around and went back to see this one firehouse that was right on the water. It was also next to another restaurant that we want to check out. We found a place we want to go to breakfast at also tomorrow! When we got back to the resort we walked over to the pool and spent some time playing on the playground there! Lots of fun! We've been back in the room for a bit and Cammie is showing no sign of wearing down tonight, ugh!! Looking forward to more fun in the sun tomorrow!!

At the beach..... Happy Anniversary to US!

We got up super early this morning and after a nauseating ride on the shuttle from the parking lot to the airport we got on our plane. We made it through security with fair ease, I had to get patted down because I forgot to take off my sweatshirt. Oh well... Our flight was pretty turbulent but we made it pretty well. Cammie was louder than the last time but I think she was just tired and tired of sitting still. We got her up at 330 and she stayed awake all the way to the airport and most of the flight. I was a little cranky myself. So anyway, we got our rental car and headed for Vero Beach, we made a brunch stop at Cracker Barrel near Titusville and then got on 95 south and got to the resort around 1. Our room was ready so we changed into our bathing suits and headed for the beach. The water is gorgeous and warm but quite rough. Cammie loved jumping in the waves with Joe. After a while playing on the beach we got in the pool for a bit and then had a snack by the pool. It was time for a nap for Joe and Cammie and then we went to dinner at Shutters which was really nice. We were planning on going to the campfire tonight as we were lured by the promise of smores but someone was too tired. So we took a moonlit stroll around the grounds and I almost stepped on a snake. Joe couldn't figure out why I was shrieking and trying to climb up on his shoulders. UGH! When we got back to the room, we found a pretty plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a chocolate Mickey! My Mom and Dad sent us an anniversary gift that was thoughtful and very delicious!!!! This place is gorgeous and the concierge said it's only at about 60% capacity so it doesn't feel crowded at all. We love it!

Got lots of stuff done today!! Joe went to the graveyard this morning to visit far too many friends and family with some other people from work. Cammie and I were going to go with him but the Pudge alarm didn't go off and Joe slept later than he thought he would. Then he said he was stopping at Home Depot on the way home but instead he came home with a present for ME from Kays!! He got me that really pretty Open Heart necklace from there. Our 10th anniversary is tomorrow. Such a sweetie! Cammie and I ran a couple of errands while he was gone and then we did some cleaning and had a yummy dinner of wings and salad. I finished packing for tomorrow and now we are all just hanging out. My mom and dad called and Cammie had quite a lot of things to tell Poppop, which he said he understood! Clyde is limping tonight and we're not sure what that is about. He's done it before so hopefully it's not anything major. UGH, it figures!! We are leaving tomorrow early early early for BWI so we can avoid the last minute race to the airplane that we had the last time we flew. Yikes!! It looks like it is going to be nice in Vero Beach! Can't wait!! I promise I will take a picture or two..... Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Cammie has been a busy girl!

I love this pic of our little cutie patootie. She is feeling better for the most part, she has a bunch of teeth coming in but her nose is less runny. This week has been spent trying to find things to do to wear her out! We have been to the park, the library, the trail, and today Alice and Meaghan took her to the Aquarium and the harbor. She got to ride the light rail where apparently she thought she was the queen greeting all of her subjects. She also found it necessary to lick Meaghan at some point. They had a hard time keeping her out of the water and she very much wanted the ball that the dolphins were playing with. I spent my day getting a pedicure and highlights!! Trying to get stuff done before our vacay next week.

More details about what Cammie has been up to later or maybe tomorrow.... The blog hasn't let me post for the past couple of days. I'll make up for it with extra pics and antics I promise. Stay tuned.....

Working it like a supermodel

Busy weekend! And quite miserable weather we have been having. It finally stopped raining this afternoon but everything is so waterlogged it may never dry out! Yesterday we were supposed to go to Grace's first birthday party and see Jennifer and Matt's new son plus Mike and Stacy and Kai but we were hesitant to go over since Jennifer and the baby just came home from the hospital the night before and Cammie had a runny nose and cough. We are almost positive that it is teething related but I know I wouldn't want someone bringing their child around who was all snotty. We did go to a surprise birthday party for Chuck Stillings that evening and we left Cammie at Donna's since the party was in Sykesville. We didn't stay long but it was good to see Chuck and Denise and also Diana and Andy Liebno! We also stopped on the way to Donna's and saw Michael for a couple of minutes. His Donna wasn't home so we didn't get to see her! By the time we got home it was about 1030 I guess, which is very late for us to be out and I had hoped to sleep on the way home since I had been up most of the night before with Cammie, actually I had hoped to sleep on the way out in the afternoon but Cammie stayed awake the whole ride both ways. Oh wait I lied a tiny bit, she did fall asleep on the way home right when we drove past the high school. Then she woke up when we arrived home five minutes later and I had a terrible time getting her back to sleep. She wasn't fussy, just awake. I think she slept better last night than the night before but I didn't, however I did get to take an actual in bed under the covers, pjs still on nap this afternoon which was nice. It wasn't very long but I'll take what I can get. We were going to go to Mary's today to see everyone but Cammie is still very snotty and she has a little bit of a temp. I'm still leaning towards the teething because she is also very drooly and is chewing on everything but I'm not positive. So we are just hanging out, trying to dry out. Joe is watching the Ravens game, Cammie is running around playing with everything and I'm just waiting until bed time, I'm still sleepy!

Cammie and Ashley

So it's been raining for a while now and it's really gross out. We've had a fire the past two days since it has been so damp and chilly in the house. Cammie and I have been doing lots of indoor playing. Yesterday we did go to Walmart in Easton with Alice and then Alice cooked fried chicken for dinner which was very yummy! I got Cammie a bunch of Garanimal sweats. She is so funny, I love trying to interpret the baby gibberish that she comes up with. Especially when she gets the finger pointing going. Today I asked her if she wanted some juice because she was giving me the sign for milk and she generally uses that sign when she wants a drink (although today she did sign juice sort of, it's a little harder than milk but anyway...), I asked her if she wanted some juice and she said Shit yeah. Or maybe not but it was funny. She is loving giving the dogs their biscuits when they come inside which is too cute. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I really wish I had something exciting to tell everyone but sadly I don't. Not much going on here the past couple of days. I figured I'd better post at least a picture before I started getting complaints again. Hopefully I'll have something to report tomorrow! Getting ready to watch So You Think You Can Dance and everyone is asleep already (and by everyone I mean all other two and four legged members of the family).

Not as exciting of a day today for Cammie. Joe was off so this morning we went to Easton to run some errands. Had to drop off some extra insulation that was left over from the siding event and then make a pit stop at Target. Even with my list I still forgot a couple of things. I hate that!! And they had signs up that they were giving flu shots at the pharmacy but when I asked the snotty girl behind the counter said they were done. I was very tired and had a headache so I bit my tongue and did not reply. After naps this afternoon Joe took the dogs for a long walk. We had a yummy steak dinner and now are just hanging out. It's getting chilly!!!!

At the Pumpkin Patch with Ashley and Mark

Cammie had a date with Ashley and Mark today! She went to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze and got to feed some animals! They also took her to Green Turtle to eat so you know she was in heaven!! They said she had a really good time and she showed her appreciation by having a code brown for Ashley. It sounded lovely, I'm sorry I missed it. But it was bad enough to have a wardrobe change and a purchase of new socks and that's all I'm going to say about that. It was a gorgeous day, I got lots of cleaning done. Joe B and Melissa and Daniel and his girlfriend stopped by on their way home from the car show at the beach. It was good to see all of them. Joe and I were boring and just hung out at the house, he cut the grass and we took the dogs for a walk before dinner. Now we are waiting for the Amazing Race to come on.

Being cute at the Zoo!

Had a really good day today! Got some stuff done around the house this morning and then we went to Crab Deck to grab a bite at the request of Kristen who wanted to see Cammie. We hung out there for a little while and then went to the O'Neills for a promotion party for Matt. It was lots of fun and Cammie really enjoyed herself playing with the other kids and she was on the go the whole time we were there. Lots of good food and good company, and it turned out to be a nice day weather wise as well. Just chilling out now watching some TV and enjoying relaxing!

Yesterday Cammie and I had an awesome day at the Salisbury Zoo with Alice. It was really nice and a beautiful day. Cammie loved seeing the animals and she walked the whole time. I do have pics just haven't uploaded them yet. Hopefully tomorrow if not later tonight. She fell asleep in the car when we left the zoo and we stopped at the mall and she slept the whole time we were there, which really wasn't too long and just as we were walking out the door she woke up. We had so much fun!!!

Today she had her 15 month checkup and Dr. K said she is perfect. He really did! She was her usual charming self and she even gave him kisses. She weighs 26 pounds and is 32 inches long. She also got three shots and did not even cry at all and she got them in her arm! I was so impressed both with the nurse and with Cammie. The siding guys finished the house today and it looks so awesome, I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow. We are so pleased with how it turned out and that it is done! One more thing off our to do list! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It was a rather blustery day today! The siding guys were here again today, they have made pretty good progress on the house and what is finished looks so good. It's also nice because they are replacing our old lights so now we have motion lights on the corners of the house. Cammie and I did a lot of playing at the house and then after her nap we went to CVS to pick up a few things and I was going to take her to the park afterwards, well we never made it to the park because she had a huge code brown in CVS that ruined her pants and then I got it on her socks so all she had on was a t shirt and a diaper when we were done. I didn't think it was appropriate to let her run around in just that. She is really into throwing things away now which can be a challenge, she also is really loving to dance and she already has a chore. When we come inside with the dogs, she goes right back to the laundry room and gets them each a biscuit. It's very cute and the dogs really appreciate it! P.S. I wish the weather was like this all the time! It's so pretty out! This morning Joe took the dogs to Bev's to get groomed and then we took the Journey in to get serviced since it was overdue. The guys doing the siding worked on the back of the house today and got all the old siding pulled off and the insulation put up. Can't wait until that is done, it's going to look so nice! Of course while Joe is home and there is hammering and loudness going on someone took a TWO hour nap. I couldn't believe it myself. We made some yummy vegetable beef soup today and had that for dinner. It made me hungry all day, smelling it cooking!

Being cute at Mommom and Poppops

Another gorgeous fall day today! Cammie went to the Renaissance Festival with Rick and Meaghan and had a good time. She didn't get to go on a pony ride because they said the line was too long but that may have been a good thing since she didn't want to get off the last time she rode one! Joe and I tried to go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast/brunch but the wait was crazy so we went to Hollys instead and then to the grocery store. We did some cleaning when we got home, that was exciting. While we were having dinner the most disgusting thing happened, I feel badly even putting it in here because it is so gross but I have to share it. Cammie was walking around the kitchen and she crouched down beside my chair and I smelled something very gamey, when I went to get up to get her I realized that she had pooed so much some fell out of her diaper on the floor. Joe and I both wanted to throw up but we managed to get her and the floor cleaned up and then she got her bath. It still grosses me out to think about it. I could do without that happening again. bleahhhhh Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Joe comes home tomorrow! YAY! Pudge is missing him something terrible. (and so are we of course!). We had an OK night last night. Today we went over to see Mom and Dad and hung out with them for a bit. Cammie showed off all of her new talents including dancing. She went up and down the steps, sorted through all the magazines and generally made me tired as usual. Traffic was terrible on 95 coming home and then on the bridge everyone wanted to stop and look at the boats. We did make a quick pit stop at Cracker Barrel to pick up an order of Chicken and Dumplings. (YUM) I guess next time I'll have to order Cammie her own, she ate almost all of mine, it's a good thing I wasn't very hungry. Of course I will regret that in a couple of hours. When we got home we played with the dogs for a bit, they were glad to see us and now I am ready for bed and it's not even 6 yet. Sigh... It really turned out to be a beautiful day, hope everyone is enjoying it!

Playing at Tuckahoe last week

I just have one thing to say, Cammie is truly a wild woman. We went to do some tax free outlet shopping in Rehoboth yesterday with Alice, Meaghan and Emily. We left our house at about 9 and Cammie and Emily were all fired up when we were driving there so neither one took a nap. We did some shopping and Cammie was an active participant and we were careful to watch her so that she did not steal any one's credit cards, shoplift or pants anyone. We went to lunch at Applebees and did more shopping. Cammie finally took a nap around 430 when I took her to the car. She slept all the way to Seaford until we stopped at Sonic. I LOVE the cherry limeade and I got a banana cream pie shake that was soooooo good. I can't remember what I ate for dinner. We got home at about 815 and I was exhausted and was silly enough to believe that Cammie would be too. She stayed awake until after 930 and then was awake again around midnight for most of the night. We were supposed to go to breakfast this morning at Cracker Barrel with Jenn and Brody but she was sleeping then and I didn't want to wake her. The siding guys were here most of the day and the part of the house that is done looks really good! Can't wait until they are done! I hope tonight is a better night, I'm exhausted!
