What a horrible evening... Joe was on the phone with his long lost friend Pat and Cammie crawled over to the coffee table, I was in the office. She was crawling past Max and all of the sudden he growled and grabbed her face, she wasn't doing anything towards him or trying to pet him which he had allowed. Cammie is fine, just had some red marks on her face but all went away except one between her eyes. Joe got Max out in the yard and I called Animal Control to come and get him. I finally got through to someone from Lab Rescue and he was really supportive and said we did the right thing. I just feel sick about the whole thing, I am so glad Cammie is OK but Max was still my baby too. I feel like he needed me since he had such a rough start in life, it was comforting to know he was always by my side. I am so mad about what he did but it's breaking my heart to know he's gone. We tried so hard to make him feel loved and secure and to try to make up for all the abuse he took as a puppy. I just can't believe he did what he did.

Today wasn't as nice as the last two but it wasn't too bad! Got a little yardwork done this am and then some stuff done inside. Cammie and I have our swimming session tomorrow morning so I'm looking forward to that. Pretty uneventful day today, The Amazing Race was good! Go Margie and Luke!!!

Also Lab Rescue just got a huge rescue of like 54 labs of all ages from puppy up from a bad breeder in Virginia (I don't think Michael Vick had anything to do with this...) but anyway, if you know of anyone who is looking for a lab or wants to help out I know they need lots of help with all aspects, volunteering, donations etc...... They are having a special adoption day next weekend I believe, the website is www.lab-rescue.org and they are on facebook, I have the link on my page but they are The Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac. I'm ready for my pony Daddy!!

Another gorgeous day today. Cammie and I went to Mommy and Me swimming at Waters Edge this morning and she did so well! She was really into it, no problem when we got in the pool and as soon as we got in the water she was kicking her legs and splashing around. She wasn't bothered by getting water in her face and she even stuck her face right in the water. It was so cute. There was only one other little boy in the session with us. The best part really was when we got home she had a snack and then a TWO HOUR nap!!! I know!!!!! We did some work in the yard and then this afternoon we went to Terrapin with Sharon, Ken and Becca. We took the dogs with us and that was OK except that there were a lot of people and a lot of other dogs so ours were a little unruly at times. Pudge and Bailey got to go swimming which was fun for them and then we went back home and they all got a bath. Got some house cleaning to do tomorrow since that darn maid still hasn't shown up. Gonna have to fire her!!

I went to the Zoo today!!!

What a fun day!! It was so nice out and Cammie had her first trip to the Baltimore Zoo or the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, whatever it is called! We met Alice, Donna, Meaghan and Emily and went down with them (only getting slightly lost on the way). Then Mom and Dad caught up with us while we were in the petting zoo, or the Infection Section as I like to refer to it. Cammie was really into seeing things and touching whatever she could, including little boys. What's up with that?? Got lots of great pics, check out facebook for all of them! We all had so much fun and it was a great day to be outside and to soak up some sunshine after all that rain!

Last night we spent the evening celebrating Uncle Gary's birfday. We had a pizzapalooza party sponsored by Michael at Milanos and it was lots of fun. Cammie finally got to meet her future husband, Amy Vicker's son Timothy. If he wasn't too freaked out by her trying to maul him. hee hee We had lots of fun with the family, missed Jessica though! :o( Mom and Dad were there, Mommom and Poppop, Deb and John and of course Gary and Michael (and Amy!!). Lots of fun too. Of course coming home sucked, two way traffic in the tunnel and on the bridge. UGH! I think the tunnel is worse though.

Supposed to be nice out tomorrow, Cammie and I are supposed to go make up our missed swimming class so hopefully that will work out well. Hope everyone has a good day! If you had to work today you sure missed out on a pretty day. SORRY!!! ;o)

Well we have started on our ark today, the animals all lining up in pairs kind of gave us a hint.... I asked Joe if we could list our house as waterfront property now since the backyard is about as deep as the bay. I can't wait to get out of the house with Cammie, I didn't want to take her out in the rain since she has been not feeling well. We did some finger painting today which I'm sure showcases her talent too! She didn't seem to quite be sure of what we were trying to do but it's that stuff that only shows up on the paper (Thank you Emily!!) so it's not so bad. Her Fisher Price Zoo that was on backorder since Christmas finally came on Monday so we have been playing with bits and pieces of that. The box it was delivered in and the box the toy came in are very exciting as well. Apparently packing peanuts make a tasty snack as well so I've wrestled a few out of Cammie's mouth (she can really bite!). She is also not quite loving the baby food dinners in the jars so I've had to be kind of creative with those. She likes the fruit and veggies and like the mac and cheese but the meals not so much. My girl can eat though!! She loves her food. Hopefully the monsoon will stop tonight, it may have already, I haven't looked outside lately it's been too depressing.

What a rainy gross day today. Joe had to go back to work. :o( So Cammie and I hung out. She stood on her own for a couple of seconds. She had pulled herself up on my lap and then stood up and let go! She's obviously gifted. hee hee We also played with some markers that Alice and Emily got her for Easter, she really liked that. I sent them a text pic of her artwork and tried to convince them that she had written her name but I don't think they believed me. Oh well.... Had physical therapy again with the falafel lady, I think I finally got my point across that there is something wrong with my shoulder so of course I'm sure I'll have someone different on Thursday when I go. UGH.

Just because we just finished watching The Biggest Loser I have to say that I no longer support Tara!! I'm sure she will read this and be very upset but I just want to say it was selfish of her to try to keep Lara on there! Just a small soapbox I had to get up on.

The other thing that is bothering me is that those evil people who hijack the boats are called pirates, whenever I think of pirates I think of Johnny Depp so they really need to call them terrorists or something else besides pirates. Not sure where that came from, I think I need to go to bed or someone needs to come take all the chocolate from me. I'm afraid to get on the wii fit because I haven't done it since the accident and I'm sure when I get back on it will have something smart to say and I'll chuck it out the window or something.

Our little Easter Bunny

We had a nice Easter! We went to Donna and Bill's and the whole crowd was there: Andrew, Paul, Daniel, Joe, Melissa, Alice, Mike, Emily, Michael and Donna. Lots of good food and Cammie really seemed to enjoy herself. She was fussy off and on but she had been coughing a lot the night before so I wasn't sure if she was getting another cold or if it is her teeth coming in. She also didn't want to take a nap for fear of missing something!! I finally got her to crash for about 1/2 an hour. We had a lot of fun however that came to a screeching halt when we got home. Cammie slept all the way home which we expected and she watched the Amazing Race with us (I so think the midget stunt men should have gotten eliminated!! They don't deserve another chance!!). After that the crying started and she was inconsolable. We ended up spending the night on the couch, her nose was running and I think she was having problems when she laid flat and I think she just generally didn't feel well. She chewed on one of those chilled teething rings and then drank some cold juice a couple of times which seemed to help. I was beat this morning though, Joe took her for a couple of hours so I could catch a nap. The disappointing thing though was we were supposed to go to our Mommy and Me swim class this morning but I didn't want to take her because I wasn't sure if she really is sick, so we didn't go. We'll make it up on Saturday so that will be OK. I did go to physical therapy and I didn't have the usual guy but this foreign lady who I swear said her name was Falafel (isn't that a food? I know they showed it on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives...) anyway, English was not the primary language but she started out stretching my neck and shoulder and it felt really good, I was liking it UNTIL she made me do the stretches. That's what kills me!! She faked me out though. I go back to her tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. Meaghan and Rick came over for dinner tonight. Meaghan brought the best chocolate chip cookies EVER! I swear if I don't eat the whole plate tonight I should win something for my willpower. She made them exactly the way I like them. YUM!

She is just too kissable!!!!! Today started out as a rainy gross day and did improve however the yard is still a mess. It's a good thing Joe got all that work done yesterday!! hee hee (LOVE YOU!!!!) We got some cleaning done in the basement today so hopefully we can start on tearing that apart soon, there just isn't enough room in the upstairs for all of us to hang out. Got Cammie's Easter basket all ready for her for tomorrow morning! Melissa the petsitter stopped by with her substitute for tomorrow so she could meet our beasts. They all seemed to get along fine.

Lab Lovin' from Pudge!

Didn't mean to cut the top of Pudge's head off but this was one of those just caught by accident moments. Forgot to mention yesterday that Joe hung the little airplane swing that was a Becca hand me over and Cammie loves it!!! She laughs so hard when she swings in it!

Cammie had her 9 month check up today! She weighs 21 pounds 4 ounces and is 29 1/4 inches tall. Dr. K said she is in the 90th and 95th percentiles for both and for head size also. He said she was perfect and I asked if I could quote him on that!! She only had to get her third Hep B shot today so she did really well with that. He asked if she had any problems eating anything. I had to laugh, anyone that has eaten with us can vouch for her appetite. She goes back again on her birthday for her one year check up! I'm sure that will come too quickly. Oh, Dr. K also said her front top teeth are ready to pop so look out!!!

I feel so badly for Joe, I thought I was suggesting an easy yard project for him today and it ended up taking him most of the afternoon and I'm sure his back is killing him. It looks great though and we did get a bunch of stuff done since it didn't rain. I had to go to physical therapy this afternoon and I was not happy with the therapist again. I understand that I have to work my neck and shoulder but he is killing me!! UGH!

Hope everyone is ready for the Easter Bunny to come visit. I finally found the Tinkerbell movie, I saw it everywhere until I was ready to buy it and then I think everyone hid it from me! Have a great weekend.

Working the hat!!

Miss Cammie is just looking too cute for words!! We had kind of a busy day today. We went to Value City to look at some new furniture (I really hate Ritchie Highway now!!) and Petsmart and lunch. Then back home to free the beasts for a little bit. After that we had an appointment with a local Allstate agent to discuss changing our insurance. He was so nice and actually explained the policies for us and got us a better deal on everything. So buh bye State Farm. (Well in about a month). The coverage he got was so much better, lower deductibles, plus they credit you every six months 100 bucks if you don't have an accident (shut up, mine wasn't my fault!!) so you can actually raise your deductible. It was just so much nicer. Cammie was a big hit in the office too and she was so good because we were there like two hours! We came home, got Chinese for dinner (YUM New Canton!) because both of us forgot to get something out of the freezer and then watched Survivor. I have to take Cammie to Dr. K in the morning for her 9 month check up. Can you believe it???? I can't. It goes so fast!!

I'm ready to cook dinner!!

Yes we do clean off our pots and pans before we use them!! By the way what happened to spring? It was chilly again today, all my seedlings that were doing so well in the house are dying. UGH. Now I have to start over.

Today Meaghan came over and brought us some new stash (of home made Easter eggs that is). They are so addicting!! We went to the outlets for a little while and NO I did not go into Carters!! Can you believe it? I did buy Cammie a pink baseball cap at Old Navy but that's the only thing she got! She was very good and very social the whole time we walked around. We shared an Auntie Annie's pretzel and then we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. The psycho waitress was there but luckily she didn't see (or grope) me. Our food came out really quickly this time too so they are off my list. Cammie and I shared a grilled bacon and cheese (I ate all the bacon), cole slaw and hash brown casserole (I think I am addicted to that stuff too!). So she was pretty happy. When Joe got home I went to Physical Therapy and I am NOT happy with the therapist. I thought my neck and shoulder hurt when I went in. YIKES!! He had me do all kinds of exercises, which I know is the point of PT but it's not boot camp for goodness sake! Cammie is asleep already but I'm not sure how long it will last, she cat napped in the car this afternoon for about five minutes twice so she may have crashed. I've given up trying to figure it out.

OK, it's cold again, what happened to spring??? We had a good day today, stopped by to see Nanny Robin. Cammie fussed a little at first but was laughing and enjoying herself after a few minutes. Then we went to CVS for a few things and when we drove back by Ms. Robin's Angel and Nicole were outside so we popped in to say hi to them. Cammie was anxious to get home for a bottle and a nap so we only said hi and left! Joe got home shortly after that and I went to physical therapy. I just have one word to say about that. OUCH!! My shoulder and neck are so sore but it felt so good when the therapist was digging those knots out. I guess a better term would be hurt so good. I signed Cammie and myself up for Mommy and Me swimming sessions starting next Monday. Hopefully they will go well. The pool at Waters Edge is heated for therapy so I like that. It's only half an hour once a week for four weeks. Should be fun! Going to go try to recover from being manhandled at therapy.

Another weird weather day today. Lots of thunder this morning, rain and then sun! Congrats to the Orioles for kicking the Yankee's butts!! Can't wait to go to a game again this season. Also looks like UNC is playing some good bball, I've got them as the winners in my bracket so I've got my fingers crossed! Just remember a wise person once said, the way to win a basketball game is to get the ball in the basket. Maybe not a wise person but one of the announcers said it!

Cammie kept me on my toes today, we played a lot! We have to find some more toys for her. She really likes her books and will spend time looking at them but it's hard to find other things to keep her interest. I guess with her being brilliant and all it's tough to keep her occupied. hee hee

A little late for St Patty's Day!!

What a beautiful weekend! It was a little windy yesterday but today was great. Joe got a bunch of stuff done in the yard and I helped some. Cammie liked being outside and supervising. Pudge and Clyde made a break for freedom yesterday and today Bailey joined them. Joe got them all back but they scare me to death when they run out in the street, they have no fear of the road. Luckily they don't get out of the yard often because of the new (well not so new anymore) fence. Joe finally got in touch with Enterprise yesterday about our rental car and Lynn took him down to pick it up. They gave him a Chrysler Sebring convertible but he has to trade it in for something else tomorrow, so we got that issue taken care of. Now it's just a matter of physical therapy (ugh) and finding out what the heck the guy that hit us is up to. We have no idea how long the Journey will be in the shop.

Cammie spent some time playing with Eva today, they were so cute together! Olivia gave us the little seat with wheels that you scoot around in and Cammie had fun cruising around the driveway. Speaking of cruising, she is really doing that around stuff now, that started a couple of days ago. She goes up and down the couch and around the coffee table. It's so funny. She also made it up the step out back all by herself. Such a big girl!!! Hope everyone got to enjoy the nice weather this weekend, it seemed like our whole neighborhood was out working in their yards!

How can I get out of here??????

I think we had every type of weather today except for snow. It rained it's @$$ off for a while, just enough to make the yard look like an extension of the bay. UGH. Muddy yard= muddy dogs= muddy house. Bleahhh. Anyway, this afternoon turned out pretty nice, we had a guy come out to give us an estimate for a new roof using 100% recycled rubber shingles. We're trying to go green!! Then I went to physical therapy, when I got there the therapist asked how my right shoulder was and I said fine it felt great, she was like wow you just had your eval with (insert person's name I already forgot here) on Wednesday. I told her it was my left shoulder that I injured and she proceeded to tell me that (again with the name I forgot) got fired. Ahhh. Anyway, she worked me over pretty good after that. When I got home Cammie and Joe were napping on the couch. They looked so cute!!! Oh and I neglected to mention, Cammie slept all night in her own bed last night!!! When they woke up we went to Easton and had dinner at Applebees where Cammie entertained everyone she could. I told Joe she is either cut out to be a paramedic/firefighter because she can wake up and be alert at a moments notice or a cop because she needs to sit where she can see all the action in the room. Too funny. We then stopped in to see Joe's friend Henry for a minute and then hit Target. Cammie had a bit of a meltdown on the way so we stopped and got her some oragel, I'm pretty certain that her top teeth are coming in. She was fine in Target because there was lots to look at and tons of people to charm. She cried when we got back in the car and then just as quickly fell asleep and slept all the way home. I actually managed for the first time to get her in the house and into her crib without her waking up. I won't pat myself on the back yet (my shoulder hurts anyway!!) because it's only 1000 but we'll see how long it lasts. On that note I'm going to go try to chill out a bit.
