Unpacking will be so much more fun!!

We are on the home stretch now, the schedule kicks in tomorrow and we are in a finishing packing and cleaning frenzy. Joe has to go to a meeting tomorrow and Cammie and I are going to Target and from then on no one may divert from the schedule!!!! So far everything is going smoothly but I don't want to jinx anything. We are also hoping that the fence guy can start on Thursday but that may be iffy since the secretary said he was behind because of the rain. The dogs will be vacationing for a few days at the Canine Country Club but we pick them up Friday and hopefully the fence will at least be started by then. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Fun at a BDay Party on Saturday!!!

Saturday we went to Tim and Steph's daughter's first Birthday party and it was lots of fun!! Cammie loved playing in the water slide and she was dying to get in the pool but it was freezing. They had Elmo attend the party also and I thought Cammie might like that but she didn't. We got to see a lot of people we hadn't seen in a while and had a great time!!! Sunday Joe had to go to work and Cammie and I hung around most of the day and after dinner but before Survivor we went next door with Ken, Sharon and Becca and made smores on the fire pit. YUMMY!!! Monday was bleary out and Joe was tired when he came home so we just hung out and I did some packing, we were going to take Cammie to Sailwinds Park but it was rainy so we postponed. At about 4 he got called in for overtime so he bolted out of the house to get there by 7 and just made it! This morning Cammie and I met Joe and Meaghan's and Alice too and we all went on a field trip to Ikea and had lunch at Chilis at the Avenue at White Marsh. I love Ikea and we found some really cool stuff and some neat ideas for the new house. It's very exciting!!! One more week!!! Oh and Cammie is saying Mommy clearly and regularly now and I LOVE it!!!

Clyde is starting to feel better!

This pic was taken before his procedure but he really does seem to be feeling better. The doctor found a lot of blood in the fluid they drew out of his knees so they are back to thinking that is a partial acl tear. I told Clyde that he needs to come up with a good story to go with his injury, instead of just being Clumsy Clyde. Poor Clydie!!! Anyway, it's busy as usual around here. The countdown to the big move is less than two weeks so things are starting to pick up. We have a TON of stuff packed but oddly enough there is still more. Oh well, back to my lists and cleaning and packing!!

Cammie enjoying a piggy back ride from Daddy

The weekend just flew by and I am still exhausted. Saturday Alice came over and helped me with my pitiful yard sale. I did make about sixty bucks and best of all, the stuff left over either went to Amvets today or with Joe for some people at work so not a thing came back into the house. Joe got the storage space under the steps cleaned out and some of the shed so he is making progress. I am crossing stuff off on my moving lists in my moving folder. (My OCD is back in force!). So we finished Saturday very tired, Joe had been up at night at work. Sunday my Mom and Dad came over so we could go out to lunch for Mother's Day. Joe brought me an eclair from Peace of Cake and told me to schedule a massage. LOVING that!!! We all went to Rams Head for lunch and then Cammie and I went with Mom and Dad to Mowbry and Cammie played on the playground for awhile and then she played at the house and then she played with Eva, well she tried to steal Eva's car. Cammie figured out to work the gas and she was cruising!! We were exhausted after two busy days and pretty much fell into bed. I managed to stay awake long enough to watch the finale of The Amazing Race and was disappointed that the cowboys didn't win. Today I have been feeling blah so I've just been doing stuff around the house. We have to take Clydie back to the ortho tomorrow so they can take that fluid out of his knees. Ugh.. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and had a nice Mothers Day.

I know it's not a Cammie pic but it's still very cute!!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day and Alice scheduled a great field trip to break up our moving tension!! We went to the Washington Zoo (or the National Smithsonian Zoological Whatever it's called now). None of us had been there in a long time, we went with Alice, Meaghan and Rick. It was very crowded and we did get a break by not being able to park in the parking lots, we had to park on the street so we saved $$ and we took a picnic lunch! Cammie had so much fun, running around and seeing everything. She also really liked playing in the water misters that they had. We only got to see the elephants from far away because they were doing a lot of work there and a bunch of animals weren't there but we got to see the panda bear come out for a snack which was cool. We were very tired when we left and Cammie slept all the way home and so did I. We hung out talking to Sharon and Ken for a while after dinner and then made a mad rush to get bath and bed stuff done before Survivor came on. I HATE Russell. Anyway, Joe had to go back to work today so Cammie and I are trying to get stuff done around the house, since it is back to the grind today. We are having a moving/yard sale tomorrow, hopefully we'll make tons of money. Although we really don't have a lot of stuff, I just don't want to bring it back into the house. Today is also gorgeous. Happy Friday everyone!!

Propping up the piggies

I think our house can now be considered a disaster zone. The packing is going well though. Joe met a fence guy at our new house this afternoon and he can do the fence that we want for less money than I thought it would be so YAY for us! Cammie and I went to CVS today and the library and then we walked on the trail down to the dog park but there were no dogs there. When we got home we ate lunch and then Debbie T called and said she was on the bridge. Cammie fell asleep right before she got there. :o( I had a good visit with Deb and then Joe came home and we continued getting stuff done! Can't wait to go to the Zoo tomorrow!!!

Our little artist

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day!! The weather was perfect. I hope it will be like this on Thursday when we go to the Washington Zoo. Joe is meeting the fence guy at the new house tomorrow morning so he can get an estimate on a fence so we can keep the beasts contained! We got a lot of packing done yesterday since it was so blah out. Everything seems to be coming together. I got the BGE set up and Comcast also so I just need to contact a security company and then start cancelling stuff here. My to do list is huge and every time I cross off something I get to add three more things. It all seems to be getting done though. We have a plan of attack for the movers and settlement. We are both very excited!! Been planning Cammie's birthday party on the side too, that should be lots of fun!!

Summer is coming!!!

Today we drove out to see the new house again and just scope some things out. Then did a pop in at Bill and Donna's. Donna wasn't home, she was taking Andrew home and it was just Bill, Paul and Daniel. Cammie had fun playing with the dogs. After that we stopped in at Michael and Donna's and chatted with them for a few minutes. Then came home and Cammie went right over to Patrick and Olivia's to play with Eva. Alice came over and we had dinner with her and she brought us mucho boxes. Ken also gave us a bunch. Yay! I'm good for a little bit now!! Joe just brought me a milkshake from McD's and Cammie is asleep so I am going to chill out and wait for the Amazing Race to come on!!!

Being cozy and cute and snacking!

Today was an absolutely beautiful day and we celebrated by spending a crapload (an actual measurement if you didn't know) of money. No, not on a new house, that bill hasn't come due yet. We had to get a washer and dryer as our new house was without both. My beloved caring husband also said we needed a new fridge because he knew the one I liked and wanted and thought that the one that was already there would hurt my back. The freezer was on the bottom (which I am a fan of) but you had to pull out the drawers (that, not so much). So who has the best hubby in the world!!! We also got a microwave! Everything except the microwave comes with rebates and we are going to keep the existing fridge, just move it into the garage (or gay-rahg as the french salesman called it).
So to give a quick update.... Cammie remains a wild woman, I got my hair sort of fixed- it is brown for now and I am not allowed to touch otc hair color, the packing continues, and everything is progressing the way it should.
And according to Cammie, the cow says Boooooooo.

I didn't do anything......

This past week has been a flurry of activity. Me packing, Cammie unpacking, dogs barking, dogs going to the vet. Joe going to work. Bad hair. I am never moving again!! Unless it is to have Cammie put me in a home.

Looking like a big girl!!

The days have gotten away from me again. Been cleaning and packing ugh. Now our search for a washer and dryer begins. So much to do so little time!!!!

Hi You!!!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day!!! Alice and I took Cammie to Sailwinds Playground in Cambridge and it was so nice. Cammie had lots of fun and even went down the covered slides by herself. We stopped at Sonic for lunch on the way home and had lots of fun!! Yesterday was also Uncle Gary's birthday but we didn't make it to his annual party! :o( Today has been sunny but windy and chilly. It was really windy last night! Yikes!! The dogs were afraid to go outside and so was I. Joe got home this morning from work and we went to breakfast at Rams Head which was yummy and then we were tying to decide what to do and decided to go see Brooke's T Ball game. Cammie played on the playground with Brody for a little while and then we got to see Brooke's first hit!! It was very cute. We had a yummy steak dinner and now Joe is on his way home from Rita's with dessert!

Cutie pie!!

I'll try and catch everyone up from last week! On Friday we went and looked at a house that we had seen the week before (before finding the dream house that we lost. Yes I'm still a little bitter about that but I know everything happens for a reason!) So anyway, we put an offer on this rancher that we liked and after counters and re counters and re counters they finally accepted our offer! So barring any terrible news from the inspections we have a new house!! It's in Woodbine. Didn't do much last weekend, Joe worked OT on Saturday. We've been packing and throwing stuff away and basically organizing. I booked a moving company yesterday which was a big relief and they will hold our stuff overnight since our settlements are a day apart. Tuesday night Cammie and I had dinner at Cracker Barrel with Jenn and Brooke and Brody which was fun. And yummy of course. Yesterday Alice came over and we took Cammie to the park and then checked out the new Dollar Tree store and then picked up Rita's and came home to hang out with Joe for a while. Today we have to go talk to our insurance agent and then hope to enjoy some of this beautiful day!!

Enjoying a cupcake on Easter

OK, I know it's been a while again and I'm a bad blogger. It's just been crazy and then all of a sudden it's like summer out and I keep losing track of the days!! I think anyone who has spent more than a few minutes in the company of our Wild Woman can appreciate that. I think she may be destined to be a fitness coach. Look out Jillian!!! So anyway, Happy Belated Easter. We went house hunting last Friday and were lucky enough to find the house of our dreams that had been on the market for 500+ days. Our realtor kept saying what a great position we were in with selling our house already etc. Our luck came to a screeching halt when the owner had a CASH offer. He really wanted us to get the house (we would have been neighbors) but his realtor bullied him into taking the cash offer. We tried all kinds of "schmoozing" and it did work but sadly money talks. So strike two and the hunt continues. We did find another house we liked in our marathon of looking that day and we are going to see it again this Friday. It is newer and has been upgraded somewhat but the basement still hasn't been completely finished. I swear though if we get beat out for this house I am going to really go after someone.
Last Saturday we went to breakfast at Rams Head and Cammie saw the Easter Bunny. She was less than impressed I must say. She did OK when she sat next to him but she did not like sitting on his lap. Joe forgot to take off for Easter so he had to go to work. Cammie and I went to Meaghan and Rick's. We had a nice time and Cammie had lots of fun hunting for Easter eggs, she did really well!! Then she played bubbles with Aunt Alice and Emily and had lots of fun doing that. The Easter Bunny did leave her lots of presents there and she stole some of Rick's so it was a good day!!
Some other stuff has happened also but nothing really newsworthy. Just been trying to pack some and keep Cammie from unpacking.
Yesterday Joe and I took Cammie to the playground and then to see the animals by Rustico. She loved it especially when all of the sheep came running across the field to see her. They quickly lost interest when they realized we were food less. We had to drag her away from there (wonder how she will do at the zoo??) and we walked down to Peace of Cake and got eclairs. YUM.
Hope everyone is doing well!!
