We miss Sissy!!!

Another busy weekend. Saturday was pretty much a bust. Joe had to work and my back was killing me so not a lot got done then. Sunday, I dropped Cammie off at my Mom and Dad's and then took Sissy the awesome foster dog to the Lab Rescue adoption day in Towson. She got snapped up almost immediately and there was a line of people waiting. She got adopted by a younger couple and will be their first dog so I helped them pick out some necessities. Uncle Gary and Uncle Michael had stopped by to meet Sissy and they did get to! It was so sweet though, she kept putting her paws on my shoulders and like hugging me and then sitting next to me. UGH!!!! We miss her already! Such a sweetheart!! So after that I went to lunch with the Uncles. Fun!! Mom and Dad took Cammie to the Zoo where she had the best time! She was full of stories and showed us the map and everything that she did on it. It was very cute. She didn't have a very good night that night though, she was hard to get to sleep, which was odd since she literally walked every inch of the zoo. Then she woke up at some ungodly hour and wanted to play so we came out in the living room and she played with her zoo set for a bit and then wanted to watch TV so we did and she fell asleep on top of me and I could not get up because I was laying too flat and my back cramped. So I'm whisper yelling JOE! Then PUDGE! because Pudge will go get Joe for me. The only one who came out to see what was going on was Clyde and I love him to death but he is no help, he wandered back to the bedroom and I never saw him again. I finally fell asleep and when I woke up Cammie had shifted enough that I could get out from under her, I just left her on the couch and I laid on the other one. As some point while it was still dark out she asked for something to eat and being the super mom that I am, I tried to think of what she could reach herself without me getting up. Soooo she had a bag of Doritos for breakfast. I'll be accepting my nominations for Mom of the Year later, really. Oh and I was very upset Sunday night that the Amazing Race didn't come on. Just saying.... We did try to get in the hot tub but were only in about 5 minutes when a huge bolt of lightning streaked across the sky. I was not aware that I had the ability to walk on water. That led into a very noisy, windy storm (which Cammie did sleep through, she woke up as it was winding down). So yesterday we took advantage of the gorgeous day (once I managed to mostly wake up) and worked in the front flower bed. I would like to put a curse on the person who put all the white stone everywhere. We got all of that out and Joe got some topsoil and mulch and I'm just going to plant some bulbs in there for this year. We are trying to tackle some easy fix areas this year so we can get started on our garden. Cammie was a big help and she LOVES worms, she re homed several that we found. ICK ICK ICK So after dinner and baths and showers, Joe ran to Lowes to pick up a few things, and Cammie passed out while he was gone. We got to better enjoy the hot tub and then got to hang out for a bit before bed. It's gross out today, windy and rainy. I want yesterday's "Beautiful Summer Day" back!!!

More random acts of cuteness

OK, this whole gmail thing is pissing me off. I had to set up yet another account when I went to get my new phone and now it changed all my info in this blog including my log in. I don't even know how to check gmail email. So very annoying!!!! So please don't change it, my email address is stacygouldin@comcast.net A$$holes. Anyway, back to our week.... Tuesday the Zoomobile came to the Mt Airy Library and we went. I was afraid they were going to have a snake but they brought a tortoise, a giant rabbit and a PENGUIN!! It was so cute, they opened the little crate and she waddled right out. I would have loved to have taken her with us. They also gave out free kids passes to the zoo which was awesome. Wednesday Joe had to work so Cammie and I had a long day at home. I think she is feeling better but we just weren't in sync on Wednesday at all. Thursday I went to get my new phone. GRRR I did get a case for it, they didn't have one with bubble wrap and airbags but I'll keep looking. Thursday night an old friend of Joe's brought a very pretty yellow lab over for Lab Rescue. Her name is Sissy and she is gorgeous and very sweet. Clyde is in love!!! This morning I took her to the vet and she got a clean bill of health so we are just waiting for the adoption day on Sunday unless someone comes and sees her before then. I think Joe already wants to keep her. She is a sweetie. Oh we did have a yummy lunch at Jilly's today and a quick visit to Home Depot. It's very difficult to think yard work when it's freezing out. Now we are hanging out with the Camster, watching Stomp which is really good.

Check out this crew!

Friday Cammie and I went to a sign language class at the library (free yay!) and it was really good. We learned signs for manners and refreshed some that she already knows. The instructor was really good. After that we had to run a couple of errands and go to CVS. I saved $33 and got 12 extra bucks!! I'm on a roll here. Plus Joe went to Food Lion to get sodas on sale and I had a store coupon so we had a double score!! After that the day kind of got away from me. Saturday we had lots of fun, Alice, Meaghan, Nathan, Emily and Edd came over so we decorate the front trees with Easter eggs. We all had lunch and Donna came over to see Nathan. The guys also came to fix our fridge (again) so we had a pretty full house. After a short nap, Cammie fell asleep on the couch with Joe, neither one of us could believe it, we left to go to Leslie's birthday dinner. That was lots of fun. They did a mystery dinner which I know I could not explain but if you have ever been to one, it's pretty cool! We enjoyed ourselves very much and at just about 830 Cammie got her coat and told Joe that it was time to go home. So on that note we left. Yesterday Joe had to go back to work so Cammie and I hung out at home, she was really sneezing and coughing a lot more so she was very cuddly and we read lots of books and colored and she fell asleep just about instantly at 8. I watched The Amazing Race (sad to see Margie and Luke get eliminated but YAY cowboys!!) and Undercover Boss. It was a rough night because Cammie coughed a lot. I know Pudge wasn't happy about it because I got a lot of heavy sighs from him. But what can you do? Cammie got up early enough to tell me that the sun was waking up and she said it was a beautiful summer day. I just got a big smooch from the diva, that mostly makes up for the lack of sleep! Love her!!!!

Cutie Patootie

Once again the week has flown by. My mom and dad came over Monday to hang out with Cammie. Tuesday Cammie and I had an appointment with Anneliese at Pain Management (well I did but I'm required to bring Cammie with me) so we picked up lunch at Chik FilA for Meaghan and got to hang out with her and Nathan for a little while first. After the doctors appointment we met Mollie and Brady at the playground for a little bit. Luckily they got there first and Mollie got rid of some spiders that were hanging around. Whew!! And then the weather turned to crap again, yesterday we decided to have a lazy do nothing day so we hung out. The Roomstore guy did come to assess our furniture and he fixed the end table and the chair but he could only take pics of the couches to submit. When he left we watched the movie Grown Ups which was really good. It's the first movie in a long time that both of us actually watched the entire thing. I love Netflix on the wii! Last night we didn't get to tub because it was storming out. Today Joe had to go back to work, Cammie went to gymnastics with Morgan. Cammie did really well, she is getting a lot better at waiting her turn. She got to bounce on the trampoline then they did some bar stuff which she didn't seem to care for, she jumped in the foam pit and then they did some balance beam stuff which she did really well at too when she paid attention. She does get distracted easily, I wonder where she gets that from. I was also pretty happy when she went to sit down on the mat after class to get her stamps, the little girl next to her said MOVE and Cammie did not slug her like I thought she would, she just got up. The little girl's mom made the girl apologize and Cammie said Thank you. We went to Weis after that and she did OK in the store. We got the cart with the car on the front and as long as I kept moving all was good. There is no room for hesitation or comparison shopping though. Even with her though I saved $68. We had lunch and now we are watching Phineas and Ferb! (P.S. How come Ferb comes up under spellcheck but Phineas doesn't? Weird....)

Busy, busy, busy

Our girl is ready to go! Just say the word. Thursday we started gymnastics at Skyview in Mt Airy with Morgan and Missi. I like the class much better already than the one we did at Carroll Gymnastics that was through parks and rec. Cammie did really well with waiting her turn also and wanting to try more of the activities. I like the instructor a lot better too. We went to the library afterwards and then when we got home Joe took a break from working in the yard and we went to the park and Cammie played on the playground and we took a walk around a little pond. I forget what the park is called but it wasn't one of our regulars. Friday we got a little bit done around the house and then we met Matt, Jenn, Brooke and Brody at the Harbor so we could go to the aquarium. We got there early and walked around. Cammie walked all the way from the Pier 5 parking garage to the second pavilion (where the fudge is) and back over to the aquarium. We tried to eat dinner at Hard Rock but they weren't seating regular people since they had two "huge" parties coming in so we went to Dick's Last Resort for service with lots of sarcasm. We had all eaten at the one in Myrtle Beach so we knew what to expect and it wasn't that bad. I think it would be fun to work there. Brooke got a hat that said "Future Pole Dancer" and Cammie got one that said "I hide crack in my diaper". Anyway, we headed for the aquarium after that. It wasn't too crowded and we had fun. It was also a gorgeous night out. Saturday our plans fell through during the day but Poppop Fish and Granny Franny came over for dinner and that was lots of fun. Cammie had SO much fun with them. Today Joe got the dirt portion of the project finished (for the most part) and we went to a birthday party for Chris and Mel's little girl Kaylee at Lisbon's fire house. One word, moonbounce. So you know Cammie had a blast. It was fun and we stopped by Donna and Bill's on the way home so Cammie got to hang out with the boys for a little bit too. Busy weekend but lots of fun for sure!!!

She never wants to leave the playground!!

Monday Alice came over when she got off work and after lunch we went to Michael's to get more supplies for the artist. Then we went to Target and as usual when shopping with Alice we found some great deals. They had a bunch of craft stuff on sale for like 2 or 3 bucks. I couldn't believe it. I also can't believe that we went to Target and didn't look at the sale outfits but we'll have to go back another day. Since Cammie was so good we hit the playground afterwards and she had lots of fun. She loves to run and climb!! Alice also got her a pair of roller skates which she likes, she is still practicing in the house with them and she wanted a jump rope which she likes but she doesn't really get it yet. Yesterday Joe had to go to work until our afternoon dentist appointment. We all got our teeth cleaned and this time Cammie did really good. The hygienist is super nice and Cammie let her check her teeth and clean some of the top ones. Joe went back in to work after that so Cammie and I just hung out and actually went to bed early but I still didn't sleep well. Today we got a load of dirt delivered and we also went and checked out some chicken coops and playgrounds. Real exciting stuff! Looking forward to Cammie's gymnastics class tomorrow!

Our little cowgirl

We got to meet Nathan on Friday. He is too sweet and cute! We both had forgotten how sleepy it makes you to hold a sleeping baby!! After our visit we stopped at Friendly's for lunch which was awesome. Yesterday Joe had to work so Cammie and I did some cleaning. Well I cleaned and she undid everything I did. The Uncles came over in the evening and we went to dinner at Bob Evans and then got Rita's for dessert. YUM! It was lots of fun hanging out with them as usual! Today Joe got the oil changed in the vehicles and Cammie rode her bike in the driveway. We put up that orange fence that we got to keep her from riding down the driveway. Well no issues with that with her but Pudge was out with us and he was running towards the fence. We thought he was going to jump over it and all of the sudden he was tangled up in it and did a perfect somersault over it. He bent both poles and ended up on his feet and is fine. No idea how it all came together. Cammie is asleep now and Joe and I are hanging out watching the Amazing Race!

Welcome to the world Nathan!!

Meaghan had baby Nathan!! Cammie and I were going to go see them yesterday but for some reason she pitched a fit and didn't want to go. They went home from the hospital today so we are going to go to their house tomorrow. Provided that we don't need an ark to get there. Yesterday Joe had to work and Cammie kept wanting to go to the playground. I found a consignment store in Libertytown that I wanted to check out so we went there, it's called Butterfly Kisses and was nice but I didn't really find anything for Cammie. Anyway, we passed a park so we stopped there on the way home and it was really nice. It was cold and overcast so the place was empty. Cammie ran around for a while and then we headed for home. She crashed at 7 so I got to chill out and watch Survivor and then actually slept most of the night. Today has been miserable and rainy and gross so we've been stuck home all day. Can't wait to meet Nathan tomorrow!

Cammie, Leslie and Dreamer

Had a pretty good order for my thirtyone party! Thanks to everyone who ordered! The weekend passed kind of in a blur but that seems to be pretty standard. Cammie has been on a real puzzle kick and she is doing great with putting them together. She is also getting better at picking up her toys. You have to remind her a few (sometimes repeatedly) but she will do it. Joe has been trying to get some stuff done around the house which seems to be ongoing. Cammie still asks for her bink but there have been no meltdowns about it and she is going to sleep without it with no problem (when she finally does go to sleep). So we are making progress somewhere at least. It was funny though, yesterday we passed a bunch of geese and she wanted to stop to see if they had her bink since the duck took it. Yesterday morning she got to ride Leslie's new horse Dreamer and she loved that!! She did really well. After that Joe took us to breakfast at Bob Evans! YUM!! Going to try to run some errands today and maybe go to the playground if it warms up! Meaghan is at the hospital, her water broke this morning so hopefully we will get to meet Nathan soon!!

Fun at the park

Whew it's been a rough week. I got some kind of vile stomach bug that is still here. Tuesday I had to go get a new phone which resulted in the loss of all my contacts and all the apps and everything. Such a pain!!! Wednesday Kristen watched Cammie so that we could go to Sams in Frederick. Would have liked to have run some more errands while we were there but my stomach was not cooperating. I think yesterday was the worst day because Joe went back to work. Today we haven't done much other than walk down to the goats to see if they ate carrots. Just for future reference if anyone cares, they do not. I do feel better today so I'm hoping that I'm almost better.

Busy week again!

The weather has been crazy all week too, and the stinkbugs are going crazy again too. Got lots of stuff done but still have lots more to do. Friday I tried taking Cammie to Build a Bear to get rid of the bink and that didn't work at all. I even took her in the Disney store and said she could "buy" whatever she wanted with it. That didn't work either. So Saturday Alice, Emily and Edd came over to take her to Centennial Lake and a duck took it for her ducklings. While they were gone Joe and I went to the Casino in Perryville. We enjoyed walking around and people watching but we didn't really feel like gambling once we got there. We did some cruising around, there isn't a whole lot out there and we found a little bar in Port Deposit called Joe's Grog and ate lunch there. It was really good and nice to be doing something a little different. When we got home Kristen, Daniel and Paul were over too so Joe got Paul to check out some water leaks that we have had. The roof leaked in the last rain and wind storm on Friday. Then everyone left except for Alice, she was staying with Cammie so Joe and I could go to a retirement party at Mt. Airy tavern. That was lots of fun and we got to chat with a bunch of people, some that I haven't seen in a while. Alice said that Cammie went to bed binkless with no problems. She did wake up around 2 and stayed awake for a while and asked for it a couple of times but didn't have a fit about it. Sunday morning Alice took Cammie to the playground for a little while and I got an awesome nap. In the afternoon we dropped Cammie off at Donna's so we could go to our chicken class at the college. That was ok, it had a lot of interesting things that we didn't know about but nothing that you couldn't really find out on line and the instructor didn't have her material prepared very well. I guess I have a bad habit of thinking how I would present the class, too many classes that I researched and developed I guess. So anyway, tonight Joe is working and running more fires today that in the past 4 years. I did try to take the wild woman to the playground but it was raining. We did go to the bank and then we checked out the consignment store, Once Upon a Child in Normandy shopping center. Their prices are crazy, you can get new stuff cheaper on sale. I haven't been feeling well all day so I'm hoping Cammie goes to sleep early.

Disney Trip with the Browns and Steven

Saturday February 12th
We arrived around 1 pm in Orlando after a horrible flight down. It was so bad we were ready to research rental car options to drive home instead. They gave us free drinks on board (in the five minute window that the flight attendants could move around). I figured it would be really rude to bitch slap the pilot when we got off but I think he knew I wasn't happy. He is SO on my list. Anyway, Jack picked us up at the airport and headed for Port Orleans, French Quarter. Our room was ready right away so we checked in and then walked around the resort to wait for the Browns (and Steven) to arrive. We checked out the playground and the pool and just took a stroll. When everyone got there, we got on the boat to go to Downtown Disney. This was a really nice boat ride, we saw the Treehouse Villas and part of the LBV golf course. When we got to DTD, it was very crowded (it was a Saturday night after all) so we were trying to find someplace to eat. We finally settled on Planet Hollywood, which Cammie LOVED. Every time everyone clapped or danced she was into it. We had a really good time. Since we were right by the bus stop we decided to take that home and that was a bit of a mistake because it stopped at like 4 stops in P.O. Riverside before arriving at the one stop at French Quarter. The good thing was that Cammie fell asleep on Cassidy's lap on the bus and Joe got her into the room without waking her up and she slept in her own bed all night.
Sunday February 13th
We woke up to a beautiful day, a little chilly at first but we all layered up. We all met in the cafe for breakfast (they make the BEST cherry danishes) then caught the bus to Magic Kingdom. We got there in time to see most of the opening ceremony then headed straight back so that everyone except for Chris and I could get on Space Mountain. We took Cammie to see Chip and Dale instead. We got on a few rides in some groups or another, Space Ranger Spin, Racetrack, Snow White. Ashley and Cassidy took Cammie on the tea cups and then Joe took her on the carousel and that was the beginning of the end of the day. We stopped for an early lunch and Cammie had no interest in eating. While we were headed to the Pooh ride she threw up, which Joe neatly deflected (I was impressed). I got her to fall asleep while Julie and I waited for everyone to get on Small World. Joe took her while we got on Haunted Mansion and said she threw up again and she was looking rather pale so we headed back to the room. It was probably around 1 or so by then and the rest of the day was a blur of small sips of drink and crackers and more vomit. I did call her doctor who was no help but she finally seemed to improve late in the evening. She slept most of the day and fell asleep early and slept most of the night.
Monday February 14th
Happy Valentine's Day! Cammie woke up feeling much better, she was a little subdued but you could tell she had some pep in her step. We went to Animal Kingdom for the extra magic hour. We got right on the Safari and saw lots of animals, none came right up to the train like they did last time. We walked down the trail to see the meerkats and gorillas and then took the train to Rafiki Watch. Cammie loved petting and brushing the animals. She got her picture taken with Jiminy Cricket and Rafiki. After that we waited for Steven to ride Everest, then saw It's Tough to be a Bug, ate lunch and headed back to the room. After a nap, we hit the playground for a bit while waiting to meet everyone for dinner at Chef Mickey's. We took the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then walked over to the Contemporary. Dinner was lots of fun and Cammie loved seeing her pals. We cruised the shops for a bit and then took the monorail back to MK and then caught the bus back to PO.
Tuesday February 15th
Seaworld Day!! The van picked us up at 0830 and we headed for Seaworld on a gorgeous day!! We caught all the shows, Seymour and Clyde take Pirate Island, The Dolphin Show, Shamu and Pets Ahoy. Oh we also got a discount by using our Southwest rapid rewards cards, they give you 20% off at the gate. Cammie petted sting ray and fed the dolphins and sea lions. When we headed over to the play area, I saw that they had a baby station so I took Cammie in there to get her to take a nap and she did for about an hour and a half. We walked around for a while after that, got picked up at 630 and then had dinner in the food court.
Wednesday February 16th
We slept in a little today which was nice. When we got up and got ready we went to Hollywood Studios so we could try to get on Toy Story Mania, the fast passes were for early evening and the wait time was 50 minutes so we decided to suck it up and wait. Our wait time ended up being about 30 minutes and Cammie loved the ride so it was totally worth it. Then we went to watch the Ariel show which was OK, Cammie didn't like it when it rained. She got her picture taken with Handy Manny and 2 of the Little Einsteins which she thought was fun. We grabbed a bite at the Commissary and then back to the room for a nap. I hadn't been feeling well and it was getting worse. After our nap it wasn't any better so we just took Cammie with us to Magic Kingdom (we were going to drop her off with the Browns (and Steven)). We wanted to see the Castle show before the fireworks. We got on the Buzz Ride, Small World, and the Peoplemover. We struck out on a few rides, Pirates was closed temporarily and Tom Sawyers Island was closed for the evening. AND they didn't do the show on the castle!! We found a spot at 730 and waited until 8 and the fireworks started so we just headed for the gate and missed all the rush for the buses after the show.
Thursday February 17th
No one wants to go home and the weather just keeps getting better and better. Our check out went way too smoothly, the bell man came to get our bags and he drove us in the golf cart which Cammie loved. We checked our suitcases on Southwest and our carry on at Bell Services. Julie and Cassidy rode the boat over to Downtown with us and we met up with everyone else in a bit. We did a little shopping (very little) and got a bite at T-Rex and then sadly it was time to head back to PO to get picked up by Jack to go to the airport. We made it through security with only minimal problem (I forgot my cell phone was in my pocket) and then waited for our full flight home. It did leave on time which was nice and was extremely smooth flying, which was even nicer!! We landed about 5 and made it home with no problems except that I still have a cold and Joe thinks he is getting one too. Great vacation was had by all.

Cute exterior

Well, Wednesday at Walmart we witnessed evil in its cutest form. Cammie turned into the poster child for the terrible twos. It was embarrassing and frustrating and it took just about the rest of the day to recover from that. That was after a trip to the bank to close out our accounts. That was annoying for me because when we were getting ready to leave the lady handed me back my license and commented "you are heavier now". My license picture is over ten years old and she caught me so off guard I couldn't think of anything to say back. Thursday Cammie and I went to pick up our taxes at Chuck's house. She fell asleep halfway there and slept for about an hour. We met Debbie at Chick FilA for lunch so Cammie could play in the Infection Section for a while. It actually worked out well, she went in and played with the other kids and we got to sit and chat. The cow even made an appearance and I have to say, it is pretty creepy looking. Cammie went up to it right when we were leaving. Then after a couple of errands on the way home, we made it home! It was funny though, I was getting off 70 at 32 so we could go to Eldersburg and Cammie said that we were going to see Daddy at the Firehouse. I tried telling her that he was at a different fire house now but I'm not sure she believed me. I think she'll like going to see him at 7 better because there will be more people there. Today is just a lot of getting ready to go to Disney!! Boarding passes are printed, most of the packing is done and I'm cleaning so that Kristen doesn't mistake the house for a pigsty. Oh and we are trying to keep the wild child entertained. She doesn't seem to mind that it is Arctic cold outside, so that's where she is. Joe and the dogs are ready to come back in I think. We aren't taking the computer with us this time so you'll have to wait until we come back for a full update on our trip. I'm just hoping it's a little warmer, and I know it will be lots of fun!!

Bathing Beauty!

Picture is courtesy of Aunt Alice. We are trying to make the next days go by quickly so we can get to DISNEY!! Sunday we did some stuff around the house and then stopped by Donna and Bull's, Cammie was happy because she got to see Paul and Daniel. Then we went to Home Depot to pick up a couple of things. You would think that Cammie was running for office by the way she says hi to everyone that she sees. On Monday I had an appointment with Annelise at Pain Management so I dropped Joe and Cammie off at Sears so that Joe could get a pair of shoes for work. I went to my appointment and then went back to the mall. Alice met us for lunch at Red Robin because Cammie was asking to see her. She really wanted Alice to take her to the beach but she had to settle for Red Robin. Joe had to go in to work at 5 for his first shift at Station 7. After he left Daniel and Kristen came over so Daniel could do some stuff in the garage so we hung out with Kristink for a little bit. Then Cammie wanted to talk to Mommom and Poppop so we talked to them on the phone for a little while. I also talked to Julie about DISNEY!! So because Cammie took a good nap she stayed up until midnight and then was ready to go at 6 this morning. Joe had a meeting first thing so he got home a little late. We had to go to the eye doctor in Mt Airy and it sucked. And all of the frames they had in the office were like Gucci, Versace, Prada etc. Which is all very well and good but I'm not paying big bucks for freaking eyeglass frames. There was like one pair that was covered by our insurance. So anyway, neither one of us was very happy when we left. I did manage to go to WeIs while Joe was in for his appointment and Cammie was out of control in there so I did get most of the stuff on our list but I was very stressed when we left. I am enjoying some quiet time right now, everyone is asleep and I am getting sleepy myself!

Moving and Grooving!!

The official countdown to Disney has begun again!! One more week!! I just hope it stays warm. (In Orlando that is) This week was typical I suppose! Donna came over for lunch on Monday and hung out with us for a bit. Tuesday and Wednesday passed in a blur of fighting over going to bed. Cammie's comments are getting a lot better though, now she loves us SO MUCH which is very cute and makes it hard to stay mad at her!! Thursday we went to see Ms. Sue so everyone could get a haircut and color (well only one of us got color), Joe took Cammie to Home Depot and she picked out a little flower for me. Friday we went to Michaels with Kristen to get some paints and craft items. Today we braved the crappy weather and went to get our taxes done and visit with Chuck and Jennifer. Cammie made herself right at home and had lots of fun too. On the way home we stopped in at the Firehouse Tavern to grab a quick bite and then came home. The dogs were NOT very happy with us. Got a couple of things to do next week and then pack, pack, pack and head for DISNEY!! We are leaving later than we usually do and on a Saturday so hopefully that will go OK.
