Such a ham!

I neglected to blog yesterday because I was afraid if I did I would bore everyone to tears! Not that today is much better. Just working on things around the house and trying to sort stuff for the yard sale in two weeks (two days before DISNEY!!) Hoping we'll make some spending $$$ for the vacation! Joe is working OT today at the big Virgin Tour Concert (I really think they should have named it something else) at Merriweather. I haven't heard from him all day so I'm guessing they are keeping him busy, or else it is so loud it's not worth trying to call. Cammie and I have been hanging out with the pups today. I think Pudge is feeling better, of course he has a 'tude today cause Joe isn't home. Cammie and I have done several laps walking around the yard, she's been holding my hand but is doing really really well. She is quite pleased with herself when she can bend over and pick something up and then stand back up. She has played in her sandbox for a while too. She is getting into that more and more, at first I think she was like, what the heck do you want me to do in here? But now she shovels sand and throws it out and plays with the toys. She has also been saying Cat and Duck very distinctly, whether or not she knows what they are is another thing, but she seems to, she will play with her rubber ducks and call them ducks and then point out the door and say cat. I think she is brilliant!!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend and I'm glad Hurricane or Tropical Storm Danny stayed well away from us!

Cheeto Face (this one isn't too bad)

Lots of rain today but it looks like we won't get hit by Hurricane Danny. Whew.... Cammie allowed to me to get some cleaning done today and go through a few things for the yard sale. Joe worked overtime for a little while today, getting things ready for a big concert at Merriweather on Sunday (more OT yay). We're counting down the days to the Disney trip! Absolutely can't wait. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Fun at the Beach

Cammie was up bright and early this morning. And she was raring to go! Alice came over this morning and we packed up Cammie and some food and went to Matapeake Beach. Everyone kept telling me how nice it was since they re did it and they were right! They have a really nice clubhouse where you can get food and snacks and a little area with umbrellas where you can eat if you want, then as you walk towards the beach there is an area with chairs that overlooks the bay. They have the upscale portapotties that look like an actual room and a place to rinse off. The beach was really nice too, a good view of the bridge and the water was pretty warm. I'm not a fan of open water swimming so I only waded in. We saw two or three tiny jellyfish but that was it. It also wasn't very crowded either and there is a large shaded area that we sat in. Very nice! After all the fresh air and playing, Cammie was asleep before we left the parking lot and I managed to get her in the house without her completely waking up which is a feat in itself! She slept for about an hour and then woke up once again full of energy. Oh, at the beach she ate half a ham and cheese sandwich, a bunch of cheesy poofs and about a 1/4 of a cantaloupe. She was a sandy, cheesy, melony sticky mess and of course was more than willing to give hugs and kisses then! She hung out with Aunt Alice for a while and Joe came home and changed before he went out fishing with Richie. After dinner we played outside until we were depleted of blood courtesy of the mosquitoes, bath time is over and I'm ready for bed! Cammie has undone all of the cleaning I did get done today and seems tired but not the least bit ready to settle down. Wish me luck!!

I climbed up here all by myself! And I can get myself down too!

Poor Pudge was sick all night last night. He had an upset tummy and poor Joe had to keep taking him out all night! So no one got much sleep. This morning Emily came over to stay with Cammie so I could go to the doctor and to the grocery store. I accomplished both in about an hour including travel time! It was awesome. Well not an awesome appointment but nice it went by so quickly! When I got home we hung out with Emily for a little while, and Cammie took a brief nap. We went to swim with Olivia and Eva after the nap and Joe came home from his meeting early so we got to hang out with him. While we were eating dinner Cassidy called and wanted to come play with Cammie so we told her we would bring her over after we finished eating. Which we did but we went swimming too with Julie and Cassidy and Marissa. Ashley came home right after we got there and played with Cammie for a little while too. So I'm hoping someone will fall asleep soon! Right now she is sitting on my lap trying to start her own blog! Nighty night!

Helping with the recycling! Sort of....

I could sure go for more days like today! It was gorgeous out! Cammie and I went to my doctors appointment at Pain Management where as usual Cammie was the big hit. She went right back behind the desk and they gave her some donut holes. After asking if she liked them! As if!!! Then we headed across the bridge to pick up Meaghan and go to Toys R Us. I found a new stroller for our Disney trip next month. We also went to Harbor Center or Harbour Centre whatever it's called and had lunch at Fridays and then did a little shopping. We got home in time to play with the puppies for a little bit and then go swimming with Olivia and Eva. Cammie had a good time playing with Eva and we got to cool off a little before dinner. This evening, Cammie took more steps alone across the kitchen. She is doing really well. Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather!

I love my corn on the cob!

Today was really nice out! Not as humid and there was somewhat of a breeze and not a cloud in the sky! Cammie and I went to Mowbray Park to play in the afternoon and she met a little girl named Lilly. Cammie did really well, she held my hand and walked all the way over to the tunnel play area and then once we got in the fenced area she walked around there still holding one hand and over to the swings. I did go down the slide with her on the little kids play area cause no one else was around. I was glad because I got a giant wedgie too. I know everyone is completely thrilled to know that. The wild woman is still going strong on only about a 40 minute nap and she's been awake since about 615 this morning. YIKES! I tried bribing her to take a nap this afternoon because I was so tired and had a headache but apparently she doesn't want a pony or a car because I had no luck. I know she's tired now but she has zero interest in going to bed. I am very interested but as usual I'm sure I won't be able to fall asleep. UGH! I don't even know how to hide the dark circles under my eyes anymore.

I'm so cool!

I know she has the binky in her mouth, but she was getting ready for bed! The only time she uses it is when she is tired or sleeping. So trust me, it's rare. Had a good day today of getting stuff done. I did some laundry and Joe worked in the basement and we had a dip in Patrick and Olivia's pool with them and Eva and Cammie! Cammie had lots of fun playing with Eva. I think I need to get Cammie some bubbles, she really likes them. We didn't have any ill effects from the storm that went through last night, luckily! It seems some other people weren't so lucky! Lots of water in the neighborhood. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Hey! I'm stuck in a basket...

I knew they were calling for storms today but WOW! We actually missed whatever came across Kent Island, since we went out to Donna and Bill's for dinner but when we were coming down Cloverfields Drive we couldn't believe all the flooded areas! All of the drainage ditches were overflowing and yards were full of water. Not sure what our yard looks like but I don't really want to know! We had a great time and a great dinner! Donna made shish kabobs that were really yummy and Alice made brownies and a Whopper Cake that were awesome! Cammie had fun playing with Emily, Daniel, Paul, Joe and Melissa and of course her Aunts! She was laughing so hard! AND she fell asleep before we got back on 70, slept all the way home and I only had a little trouble getting her to go back to sleep. Of course she is still in our bed but I'm sure I can get her in her crib in a few minutes!

Welcome to Cammieland!

Cammie was up at the butt crack of dawn this morning and has been reluctant to nap since. I have been dragging all day. The only saving grace (well two things actually) was that the dogs don't want to do much cause they are hot and then Joe came home early today! It looked like we were going to get a terrible storm, the TV even said so too but it just got real dark and windy and then went around us. whew!! Not much else is going on, just hanging out tonight. Joe tried taking everyone (minus me) for a walk but he said there were little yappy dogs running around. We are going to hang out and probably watch some TV. Diners Drive Ins and Dives comes on at 9 if we can stay up that late. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Always ready for a swim

I'm not even going to mention how frickin hot it was today. Alice and Cammie and I went to the outlets to do a little shopping. As usual when I planned to get some things for myself I ended up getting more for Cammie and Joe. Sigh... After the outlets we headed for the POOL. Cammie had a great time and went under water for the first time. (It was actually an accident). She didn't seem to mind it at all though. We stayed at the pool for a while, then came home and had a yummy dinner of chicken, corn and more giant zucchini. Cammie fell asleep about half an hour ago and I am getting ready to lay in bed and watch TV with Joe and the dogs!

OK, everyone knows it was HOT out so I won't even mention it! We didn't do a whole lot today, just kind of hung out and tried to stay cool. I'm even embarrassed to have a post today because all I really did was try to go through Cammie's clothes that she doesn't fit in anymore. Each time I tried to make a pile she took whatever was in the pile and either put it on her head or threw it. So that activity didn't last long. We also discovered that we need to fix a steak for Cammie now since she ate about half of Joe's at dinner and a good part of mine too. Now Joe is off taking Cammie and the dogs for a walk and I got her room and the living room and the office straightened up in just a few minutes. And swiffered too!! Have a good night!!

Hey! This isn't Clyde!!

Oh my gosh was it HOT today. I was going to take Cammie swimming this morning but I was trying to get some laundry and cleaning done and as the day got hotter I was sorry I didn't take her! and myself! It's really thundering outside now, no weather alerts have come across the TV though so it can't be that bad! Kristen came over today and stayed with Cammie so I could go and get some produce and stop at the deli. That was extremely helpful because my back is killing me. Cammie showed off her new walking skills! And whatever Kristen did, it got Cammie to finally take a nap after she left so THANK YOU!! Joe cooked some rockfish on the grill for dinner (I had chicken) and we had fresh corn and zucchini which was really yummy! Cammie loved the fish as well. It was good, I just am not a big fish fan. (Unless it's tuna or swordfish!) Not much else is going on, just trying to wear out the energizer bunny!

Another good day today!! We went to St. Michaels with Mom and Dad and had lots of fun. We got down there around lunch time and just beat a tour bus into the Crab Claw. Cammie was a big hit with the waitress who walked her around the restaurant. The food was really good. After lunch Joe walked Cammie down to look at the ducks, then we just walked around for a while. We took a ride to Tilghman and then came back for some ice cream (a little smaller portion than pictured above!). Cammie sampled every one's and liked them all! Cammie has been taking some more steps here and there and she is really getting braver! The dogs are hoping for a day where we don't have to go anywhere. Our pet sitter's nephew Nick is now working for her and he has been visiting the pups when we have been out. Pudge really likes him and they seem very satisfied when we get home! Joe has to go back to work tomorrow, so it will just be me and Cammie and the beasts!

My Pretty Party Dress

Another fun day today! We went to Ms. Sue and Captain Rosier's house for some yummy crabs and some pool time. Pop Fisher and Granny Franny were there and Ms. Sue's Mom and Leslie and Rosier's brother and his wife. We had such a good time. Joe and Cammie got in the pool and she got so pruney it was funny, she also floated around on a raft with Rosier, just hanging out having a ball! She also took a bunch of steps on her own throughout the day. She liked playing with the cats, and got very excited when she saw them. Great day with good friends!!!

Another beautiful but hot day! This morning Joe went on a fishing trip with Christine, Tommy, Ed, Billy and Jose to celebrate their 20 year fire department reunion. When they got back to the Crab Deck Joe called me and told me to come down and bring Cammie so we met them all there. It was really nice and Crab Deck makes a mean Dirty Banana (YUM). I was supposed to go out with Christine tonight but I have a splitting headache that won't go away. UGH It figures, Joe was going to stay home with Cammie so I could have a girls night out.

Cammie has been taking a few steps here and there so the challenge has begun! The dogs aren't real happy about it. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I LOVE Cheesy Poofs

Yesterday, Alice, Emily, Cammie and I went to Ocean City for the day. It was really nice. Pretty crowded and the water was rough but we had a good time! Cammie did not like the water at all, I think because it was so rough but she liked playing in the sand (even though I forgot her toys) and being pulled around the sand on a boogie board. She also enjoyed eating lunch and she found the bag of Cheese Poofs that Alice brought, opened them and started eating them. It was so funny. After we hung out on the beach for a while we packed up our stuff and headed for the shower to rinse some of the beach off of Cammie. (I swear I feel like the beginning of that show Yes, Dear when the family is trying to cross the road to get to the beach and they have a ton of crap with them, chairs, toys, etc..) Anyway, Cammie got naked right there by the beach and rinsed off some of the sand. We told her that this is cute while she is small but I don't want her doing it when she grows up. After that we went to play some games and Cammie rode on Dino, which she didn't seem too sure of but she did it. Got some ice cream and walked on the boardwalk for a little while and then we headed home. Lots of fun!! Of course I couldn't get the Beach Bunny to sleep until about 945 last night. But oh well.

Today, Joe is off and we ran some errands earlier. I got my hair cut and we got some Rita's. YUM. I think we are going to get sushi for dinner. Cammie didn't take much of a nap so MAYBE she will fall asleep early tonight. Yeah right. Not a whole lot going on. Joe is going on a fishing trip tomorrow for the 20 year anniversary of his fire department class. He's been looking forward to that and I hope they have a good day.

I can't believe I forgot to mention......

Cammie took about two steps on her own tonight. She was really ready for her bath and she was standing by the sink and walked to the tub without holding onto anything! YAY for Cammie! I don't think she realized what she had done, she was just so eager to take a bath!

I'm doing my own redecorating.

I did manage to clean Cammie's room today, which is a project in itself because everything I do, she undoes right behind me. I even managed to wipe the floor and dust under the furniture. I'm still looking for an armoire or something similar to put in there. Her room is really small.

Less hot out there today but still kind of miserable. I thought it was going to storm but it hasn't so far. In the afternoon we went over to hang out and swim a bit with Olivia and Eva. That was nice. Supposed to go to OC tomorrow with Alice, I'm hoping the weather cooperates since it was rainy and stormy down there today. Everyone is asleep now, who will wake up first? I'm trying to get stuff sorted out now because we are going to have a yard sale in September, so if anyone is looking for baby stuff or house items, come on over!

I know I'm cute.....

Another hot one out there today! Cammie and I went to the community pool with Sharon and Becca this morning and it was really nice. Cammie liked watching all of the kids splashing around and she liked playing with Becca, who is a really good swimmer!! I was very impressed. We stayed there until someone got fussy, and then came home and had some lunch, or in Cammie's world, about the third or fourth eating session of the day. She took a brief nap and then I tried to entertain her for the rest of the afternoon until Joe got home. She played in her sandbox for a while and got really mad when I tried to take her out of it. I set up the plastic pool for the dogs and they hopped in and out of that. Then they wanted to go back in the AC. Had yummy chicken on the grill and corn and broccoli. Joe just got back from taking Cammie and the dogs for a walk so now they are breathing hot dog breath on me. Hope every one's air conditioning is working!

I KNOW there is food in here!!

Well I guess the weather finally realized it was August because it has been hatefully hot! Today Alice came over and we took Cammie swimming at the Browns. They are on vacation and said we could use their pool. It was really nice and Cammie had a really good time. She had a terrible night sleeping or rather not sleeping last night so I'm a little nervous about tonight. We'll see though. Had a really yummy dinner tonight, London broil on the grill, fresh corn on the cob and fresh zucchini. YUM! Cammie ate every bite! and so did we! Going to try to go lay down and chill out for a bit.

It is freaking HOT out there! You wouldn't believe how good the basement looks with the blue paint! Just have to do some trim stuff and then tackle the floor. Then we can scratch that off of our to do list. Which is roughly the size of a small book. This afternoon Cammie and I got in the pool with Olivia and Eva for a little cool off which was nice and then we went to Becca's fifth birthday party. Cammie had lots of fun watching the bigger kids and crawling around and also walking around with Joe. After the party we went to pick up a few things at the grocery store and instead of having the yummy dinner that we planned on we stopped and got yummy greasy subs instead. Joe is already watching TV in bed, he's tired from all his painting and his back hurts. Cammie is tired from her busy day and I'm tired in general so I'm going to take this opportunity to chill out and try and relax. I'm thinking pool tomorrow........

Joe has been painting the basement all day today. He's almost done and it looks so good! The blue against the white trim looks really nice. I'm trying to think if we did anything worth talking about today and sadly we didn't. I did go to the produce stand and get some stuff for dinner and some fruit and I finally got some sand for Cammie's sand crab sandbox. She was watching Joe pour it in, going YAY YAY but it was too wet for her to play in it tonight. Cammie and I also went over to the Browns for a little bit this afternoon. Cammie played with the kitten and we thought she was going to walk to Ashley's boyfriend Mark but no luck. Not much else going on, just getting stuff done!

Gorgeous day today! Had a very nice day. I feel much better but still not great. Cammie has been a wild woman. Joe took her and the dogs for a walk this morning and made out much better than yesterday. I still think he is very brave for doing that! Cammie sounds like she is now doing demolition in her room. She is banging stuff around and yelling. I don't really want to get in the way. I guess I shouldn't have shared my ice cream with her! Now she is all hopped up on sugar and will NEVER go to bed!! Yikes. Saw Granny Franny, Pop Fisher and Henry and Joni today. Had a good chat with all of them!

Whew, I'm glad I made it through yesterday. I picked Meaghan up at 730 (in the morning!) and we went to my appointment at Pain Management for the nerve blocks. Luckily again this was under sedation. I remember being put to sleep and then waking up in the recovery chair. Don't remember walking out there though.... Anyway, as I was "recovering" and drinking my ginger ale, the doctor walked by to go back in the treatment room and said, "Oh by the way on the xray I think I saw CSF so you may have a spinal headache" then told the nurse to lay me flat. UGH. I've had a spinal headache before and although it has been many years I can still remember how badly it hurt. It was like being slammed in the head with a brick every time you moved. Well anyway, I made it home and was doing OK for a couple of hours then I started feeling pretty rough. Cammie was kind enough to let my lay down for about an hour. She may or may not have taken a nap with me. She was still there when I woke up so..... I'm sure she will call someone and tell them what she did while Mommy was sleeping. Anyway, they told me to lift anything or really do anything for two days. That will work...

So today was miserable and gross out. It thundered really bad at some point before we got up, not sure what time but it was LOUD. Today we just kind of hung out around the house. Joe was very brave and took the dogs and Cammie for a walk by himself. He said the worst part was getting them into their rhythm which never happened. Bailey and Clyde don't like to walk by the stroller and Pudge needs to be near the yards so he can smell all the flowers. Now we are getting Chinese food for dinner and I'm going to lay down and wait for the So You Think You Can Dance finale to come on. Go EVAN!!! I think Uncle Gary should be on that show!!!

It's really HOT out. and humid. bleahh. I know, it's August but still..... Really not much going on today, not feeling too great and Cammie only took about a 20 minute nap so I am eager for her to go to bed tonight! I'm sure that will happen just the way I want it to. Oh well, she was sleeping very well until Pudge barked at the UPS guy and woke her up. As soon as he barked he looked at me and was like, I'm sorry.... but it was too little too late. He has been sporting a white tail since Joe was painting trim in the basement the other day. Pudge must have brushed up against it at some point but we couldn't find the spot to touch it up. Joe was driving across the Bay Bridge tonight when the USS Comfort passed underneath, he said it was really cool to see! Hope everyone is staying cool!

Joe got home this morning and none of us had slept well! Including him but he at least had the excuse of being at work! So we all took a mid morning nap including Cammie which was nice. Then we headed downtown for a meeting with our lawyer about the car accident. (P.S. The Garmin gps doesn't work so hot in the city) So Cammie got to meet Matt and Kim and Jean! She let Kim take her upstairs to meet some of the other people too and she crawled right over to Matt when he walked in the room. Such a charmer! Nothing really to update about the accident. Cammie slept all the way home and then we had an early (even for us since we skipped lunch) dinner of pizza, which, and I know this is a surprise, Cammie liked! After that Joe went out to cut the grass and I took Cammie down to the Brown's. She had fun playing with Ashley, Kristen and Cassidy and Cassidy's new kitten. She was laughing so hard when the kitten was running after a laser light, then she kept crawling after the kitten and sometimes she would pet it gently and sometimes she wasn't so gentle. We were laughing at her laughing at the kitten! Then we took her out to get on the trampoline and as soon as she saw the pool she started going YAY! but she got over it when she got in the trampoline. She bounced for a while with Cassidy and then with Kristen. Ashley and I watched, we also watched this huge beeish thing kill a cicada in the air and they landed on the ground and then the bee thing was trying to take off with the cicada and couldn't. When the bee flew up all of us screamed and scared Cammie who started crying. She got over it quickly when Ashley took her and dipped her toes in the pool, she sat on the edge and splashed her feet. We hung out and talked to Julie for a little while and then came home. Now I am hoping for her to wear herself out so I can lay down with her. I'm exhausted! Joe goes back to work tomorrow so I think he is trying to nap so he can rest up so he doesn't go to bed tired.

I'm ready for my pedi!

Cammie and the dogs still haven't come to an understanding about the water dishes. I think she is drawn to any body of water no matter how small! Joe went to work OT today so he won't be home til morning. I had a heck of a time getting Cammie to sleep. Not sure how long it will last. None of us sleep well when Daddy isn't home. I still am not feeling well so I watched a movie this afternoon instead of cleaning like I should have been doing. Lakeview Terrace was an awesome movie! Got it from Netflix several weeks ago and finally watched it. I did also get Cammie's room cleaned today which was a feat in itself. Hope Joe has a good night tonight at work. We've had a pretty low key day today, which was fine with me. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

It's a good thing you can't see the rest of Cammie's room in this picture. It looks like a toy store threw up in it. Just had to remove Cammie from standing on her school bus, she was pressing the buttons on the DVD player. She's so silly! Anyway, today Joe got some painting done downstairs. Olivia called around lunch time and said they were going out and that we could use the pool if we wanted (they are such awesome neighbors) so we took Cammie over there for a little bit. She is so funny, as soon as we walk in the gate she starts squealing, YAY YAY! This evening we met Alice and Emily at Deep Creek Restaurant in Arnold for dinner and it was good but WAY too expensive for what you got. The food was good but we liked Stoney Creek Inn much better! Cammie wore one of her pretty dresses and looked so cute! She also ate some of every one's food to include rockfish, which I don't like.

Joe is going to work OT tomorrow, so we are on our own. Wish us luck! Well luck to Pudge, he pouts when Joe isn't home! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
