Cool hat!

I think I'm still tired from Christmas!! This week has gone by in a blur too. Tuesday Joe took Cammie to the Bennett's to pick up some ground beef and when they got there one of the goats was having her kid so they got to see that (it would have been neat but I'm really not sad I missed it, you know how I feel about the whole birth thing....). Then Cammie helped out and fed the chickens and collected some eggs. She was getting in her practice for when we get our chickens in the spring! Joe said she did really well with it and only broke one. Today Alice came over and we went to Frederick to the mall. JC Penney had a good sale and I got a bunch of stuff for Cammie (of course) for 20 bucks!! I forgot the stroller so it was hard to do any real shopping since the wild woman was running around touching everything. We also went in Bath and Bodyworks and they were having an awesome sale but again it was hard to look around when Cammie was unscrewing the tops off of everything she could, smelling it and declaring it Delicious!! She did like looking at all the toys in Barnes and Noble (I could spend all day in there, I think that is my favorite store!) since you know she didn't get anything to play with for Christmas and she even looked at some books! We were going to go to lunch at Cracker Barrel (I'm having severe withdraw) but someone got sleepy when we got in the truck and more than a little cranky so we stopped at Roy Rogers instead. That was NOT an adequate substitute for CB! So now I'm craving chicken and dumplings and Chinese food. Weird. And NO Theresa I am NOT pregnant!! Cammie did fall asleep for about 15 minutes on the way home and she actually passed out a little bit ago so I am going to relax (or try) and watch the Big Bang. The dogs are already in bed warming it up for me! Well Clyde is still in the living room he hasn't noticed that the lights are off and everyone is gone. He's so sweet.

The Christmas dress was a success.

It was a busy few days leading up to Christmas and on Christmas eve we did a ton of cooking and cleaning and then we went to the Brown's. It was really hard hanging out with the girls and not giving away their Christmas present but we managed. Cammie had slept all the way there and stayed awake all the way home. We got home around 830 and she then stayed up until 11. Then we were in a rush to get the tree decorated and her doll nursery together. The tree that we got (artificial) wasn't nearly big enough so I only put out less than half our decorations. Duly noted for next year. I couldn't fall asleep after all the excitement and was up til probably 3. Then Cammie woke up 630!! We managed to keep her in bed until 7. She was so excited when she saw the tree and she couldn't wait to start ripping into her presents! My Mom and Dad came over and so did Uncle Gary and Uncle Michael. Cammie liked showing off all her loot. Bill, Donna and Andrew came over for breakfast too. Once we all got dressed we went to Donna and Bill's. Cammie had more fun opening her gifts and helping whoever would let her open theirs too. She also let Donna put her in Christmas dress and was very happy as long as everyone told her how beautiful she looked. She couldn't wait to show Paul and Daniel. Luckily she had changed back into her play clothes when Kristen pushed her into the dogs water dish (just kidding I know she "fell"). Then luckily Donna had gotten her a new outfit because she was soaked. After eating a bunch we headed back home to get ready for everyone to come over to our house. Alice, Mike, Matthew, Emily, Edd, Donna, Bill, Daniel, Kristen, Mary, Bill, Zack, Theresa, Nick, Laura, Julie and Nicholas all came over and hung out with us. We had lots of fun and ate more food. Cammie was showing off all her stuff to whoever would pay attention to her. We had a great day!
Sunday I was so tired, Joe thought he might get called for OT but he didn't so I went shopping with Donna and Andrew. We met Kristen at Target, and then we went to Hallmark and Michaels. It wasn't as bad as I had feared it would be. I got a ton of stuff on sale and then came home for a nap. Joe did go to work today, it is crazy windy again and it drives the dogs crazy and they start barking which drives me crazy so it's been a long day. I also spent over two hours putting together Cammie's new barn. I think it would have been easier to build a real barn. So anyway, she couldn't wait to play with it and kept tossing animals in while I was building (and swearing). As soon as I finished and set it up she went over to it and hasn't even looked at it since. Grrrr.... Hopefully she will fall asleep soon because I am oh so ready for bed! Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

HO HO... Snow???

Cammie and Joe had a great time sledding down the hill in the back yard yesterday morning. Emily came to get Cammie and Joe and I spent most of the day running errands. Cammie spent the night at Alice's and then Alice and Emily came over today to bake cookies. YUM!

Back to reality

Ugh..... I think we need a vacation after a Disney vacation. We were both wiped out over the weekend and I didn't feel good at all. Joe ended up going to work for 12 hours on Sunday and I don't think I finished unpacking til about Tuesday. Monday Joe and I took Cammie to her last session of gymnastics. She did a lot of showing off for Daddy but she participated a bit more than she usually does. She even did some of the stretches. We decided to pass on the next class and then sign her up again maybe in the spring. Tuesday passed in a blur, I don't remember what we did. Wednesday Joe went back to work and Cammie and I went to my appointment with Anneliese at Pain Management. She changed some of my pain meds around and then gave me injections in that muscle spasm I had in my shoulder blade. It hurts less but it's still there. Yesterday we were supposed to go to the Union Executive Board dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse at Pier 5 in Baltimore. It started snowing in mid morning while Joe was at the union meeting and around lunch time Kristen G texted me to see if we were still going and at that time we were. She wanted to know if she could come over then because of the snow and she did. As soon as she walked in the door Joe texted me that they cancelled the dinner. AHHHHH Kristen said as soon as she got out on main roads it was fine. It's just our driveway that sucks, which Joe found out when he got home. Mike Freeman's son plowed it in front of him so he could get up it and then Dean came over later to check something on Joe's plow so hopefully we are all set for the next snow on Saturday which of course will happen when Joe is at work. Got to do some shopping, grocery and otherwise today. Hope we can make it off the hill! Stay warm!!

Downtown Disney

We checked out of the lodge yesterday morning kicking and screaming. All of us were looking for a reason to stay! Well actually a reason to go home. We ate breakfast at Whispering Canyon in the lobby of the lodge and it was so good! All you can eat and they bring it to you! It doesn't get any better than that. Jennifer and I decided that they must put a little something extra in the Mickey waffles because they are addictive. After breakfast we took the bus to Downtown Disney and enjoy the beautiful day. The best weather days were the day we arrived and the day we left. It's hard to shop with Cammie in tow so Joe and I didn't do much but we did get a couple of things. It was really crowded too. We also found out that it was snowing or some such foul weather event at home so we began to hope that our flight would get cancelled. Cammie and Joe got on the carousel and then we watched some kids from Australia perform and Cammie entertained the people around us with her smooth moves. We ate lunch at the T Rex Cafe which was really cool. Actually it was more of a snack since we were all still pretty full from breakfast. After that we had to go back to the lodge to get ready to get picked up. We hung out by the fireplace for a bit and then Juan came to take us to the airport. We were still hoping that our flight would get cancelled especially when the 630 flight to Baltimore was delayed until 930. This sucked because a bunch of people got on our flight and it was completely full and then people had too much carry on luggage and they had to start checking baggage and we were late leaving. It was however the first time in a while that we left Orlando and it wasn't storming. The taxi to the runway is so long though it feels like you are just driving home. The flight was pretty uneventful until the descent, Cammie had some ear issues and started screaming. That was lovely. Of course when we landed and were waiting to get off the plane she was standing on the seat full of smiles saying Surprise! Mr Matt! Hi! and things like that so hopefully she redeemed herself to the other passengers. On a related note I do wish that grumpy people who don't like kids would not go to Disney. Why are they surprised when there are kids there who are all hopped up on Mickey? I find them irritating. So anyway, we made it home and up the driveway (that did take a couple of tries) and had a quick soak. The dogs (and Cammie) let us sleep in this morning which was really nice. We were disappointed to not have an all you can eat breakfast this morning but we'll have to work on that I suppose. We had a great vacation and can't wait to return as usual!

It's our last day. :o(

I forgot to mention that yesterday we also got on the Haunted Mansion ride which everyone braved!! Today was much warmer and would have been super nice if the wind wasn't blowing. Of course it is supposed to be 70 tomorrow because we are leaving. After spending most of the day at Downtown Disney of course!! The firsts continued today, as we were leaving the villas EMS was rolling a stretcher in for someone. Then we headed by boat over to the Contemporary to have breakfast at Chef Mickeys. It was the best! Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald all visited our table and the food was so good. We were full most of the day afterwards. It was lots of fun. From there we went by monorail to EPCOT and everyone checked out Innovations. I went to get fast passes for Soaring and while I was there, EMS rolled a stretcher by. (I know.) Then coming back up the steps this man tripped and almost knocked both of us down. I did make it back to the group in one piece and we found the place that has the different flavors of Coke, some are pretty bad. Cammie liked the one from Israel, it kind of tasted like Sierra Mist but more sugary lemony if that makes sense. We tried to go to the countries after that and made it to Canada where we listened to Papa Noel tell the story of Christmas. It was really neat and Cammie sat on the ground with all the other kids and Daddy. The cute Cammie ended not long after the story did and she turned into tired mean Cammie so we didn't make it very far around the world. We decided to try to go to Hollywood Studios instead. Aerosmith was on the to do list and we caught the end of the Block party which was AWESOME. Cammie loved that and we thought that since she had had a brief nap she would be OK but she morphed back into a bear so we returned to the room. It was about dinner time so we picked up sandwiches from the canteen and then Alice took Cammie down to get in the pool and Joe and I got in the hot tub. It was nice but I like ours better. Oh and in EPCOT Alice almost had a seagull fly into her head and then a duck tried to trip her. Sadly we are getting things ready to leave for tomorrow. We are having breakfast at Whispering Canyon and then going downtown. Going to pack one more day of fun in before we head to the airport.

Our Disney Princess

Today was warmer than yesterday but still pretty chilly. We all met in the lobby and took the bus to Magic Kingdom. In some combination of the group we got on The Flying Carpets, Tree house, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain, It's a Small World, Snow White, Peter Pan, the Race cars and we also saw the little show Captain Jack Sparrow's pirate tutorial. Brooke and Brody got to be honorary pirates and we also saw the Philharmagic show for the first time. It was really cool. The mandatory rest period was late this afternoon so we had a late dinner at Trails End with everyone plus David and Michelle and Jake and Sarah. After dinner we took a walk around the campground and checked out the Christmas lights which were AWESOME!! Dinner was really yummy too! While we were waiting for the boat to take us back to the lodge we caught the water Electrical light parade and then we hit up the arcade for a little while. Cammie just finally fell asleep and soon it will be lights out for all of us. Another magical day in the happiest place on earth!!!

The Crew

Another COLD day in Disney. We are NOT going to go by pictures from the previous year again. Bought a scarf and hat and a coat for Cammie today. We all met in the lobby this morning and headed to Trails End by boat. After a yummy breakfast the kids all had pony rides and we saw the big horses then we caught the bus to EPCOT. While everyone else went in to ride Spaceship Earth Joe and I became annual pass holders, which was very exciting for us! When we regrouped we headed for the land and got fast passes for Soaring (which Joe, Alice and I didn't use) they were for the evening but we'll get Alice on there!! We rode Living with the Land which even the kids liked. Then we rode the Nemo ride and saw the manatees which was super cool as usual. We headed for Mexico after that and Jenn, Alice and I enjoyed a margarita. YUM then we had lunch at the new quick serve place there. Cammie was cranky then so we split up and went back to the room for a nap. After a short nap we were ready for dinner so we rode the bus to the monorail at the Magic Kingdom got on it there and rode to the Polynesian. We had dinner at Kona which was really good. We caught the monorail to the Grand Floridian and enjoyed the festive atmosphere there. Christmas music was playing, the gingerbread house was cool. We took a picture of the ingredients so we can get Meaghan to make us one next year. (in her spare time). We did a quick tour of the grounds and magically caught the Water Electrical Light parade, on the way back to the lodge we saw the fireworks. Lots of neat things today and it is definitely bedtime!!!!

DISNEY!!!!

Sunday morning we drove through snow flurries to get to BWI to get on a 0745 Southwest to Orlando. The flight was packed but relatively uneventful. Uncle Gary gave us drink coupons so we all enjoyed an adult beverage. Our fun group consists of Cammie, Joe and I plus Aunt Alice and the O'Neill family: Jennifer, Matt, Brook and Brody. By the time we landed in Orlando (early thanks to the Southwest pilot) we were all sweating and ready to have a blast. We hopped on the boat and headed for the Magic Kingdom. As we walked in the Celebration parade was starting and we all loved it!
It was a gorgeous HOT sunny day. We got to get on the Barnstormer Ride, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Ranger Spin, the Carousel, Jungle Cruise, Winnie the Pooh, Pirates, and Snow White. Not everyone got on every ride but everyone had lots of fun. We ate lunch at the Starlite Cafe and then headed back to the lodge to grab a bite at Roaring Forks.
Day 2= We got up early to take advantage of the early magic hour at Animal Kingdom. We headed right for the safari ride and saw tons of animals!! Then we went to Dino Land and got on the flying Dinosaurs and Joe and Alice got on the Primeval Twist roller coaster. They also got on Everest and said it was really cool. We had breakfast at Pizzafari and around lunch time headed back to the room for a nap since someone (Cammie not Alice) was getting grouchy and needed a nap. After we all took naps we headed over to Hollywood Studios to catch back up with the O'Neills and we ate dinner at Pizza Planet and then looked at the lights in the Osbourne show. It was so cool and they even incorporated Phineas and Ferb into it, so you know I was loving it. As warm as yesterday was, it was freezing today. I could have done with at least a hat and gloves. We have heard some conflicting weather reports but the general consensus was that this was going to be the coldest day. Looking forward to lots more fun and we are having breakfast at Trails End!! YUM!!

Cooking away!

Had a good day today. Joe had union stuff again this morning so Cammie and I hung out and played. When he got home I got to go get a mani/pedi and I swear I felt like a celebrity because they did my nails and my toes at the same time. All that was missing was someone rubbing my shoulders and the paparazzi outside the window! When I got home Joe left to go to the doctor and he got a z pack, cough medicine and a nasal spray and she told him to get mucinex also. That stuff is expensive and I had to sign my life away to get it!! Geez. We met Granny Franny and Poppop Fish at Bob Evans for dinner and that kind of got cut short. Cammie was having a little tummy issues and had a huge code brown and kept crying. She had another one on the way home but she enjoyed looking at the Christmas lights! Now she is watching Baby Einstein dvds and singing. I thought she would have fallen asleep by now!

I know it's not a picture of Cammie again but doesn't this alpaca have awesome hair???

Anther tiring day again today. I could bottle Cammie as the five hour energy drink! She doesn't give up for a moment. Joe had union stuff this morning so he didn't get home til late. It was an odd stormy day too. There were tornado warnings most of the morning and it was like waking up in OZ. The dogs were not happy about all the wind and rain. The front door blew open at one point and I swear Clyde fainted. He and Bailey were hiding in the bathroom for quite a while. This afternoon we all got our hair cut at Ms Sue's. Cammie looks cuter than ever! Joe is liking not having to wear a hat and I love mine! Oh and Cammie spent the whole night in her own bed last night! It was awesome, except for the part about Clyde barking in my face at 6 am this morning. He woke her up so I'm not sure how late she would have slept. Getting ready to eat some pizza and hang out for a bit. Hopefully there will be time for a soak after Survivor!!

Pat the bunny

Cammie stayed up late partying last night! Poor Joe is fighting a cold so he crashed amidst the noise but had to go back to work today. Cammie wore me out today and then Kristen and Donna came over to watch her while I went to the dentist. Ugh! He took my temporary bridge out and put the permanent one in. It was a lot more painful than I expected it to be and now that the Novocaine is wearing off my mouth hurts pretty bad. Cammie is singing me Happy Birthday and doing somersaults on the couch onto me so that is pretty distracting. Donna got her to take a nap by just making her get in bed and laying there. How come that doesn't work for me?? Now we are just hanging out with the beasts! Counting down the days til Disney!!

Wild Woman

I am worn out. I think Cammie has officially won! Sunday Joe got overtime so he was gone for 24 more long hours. Thank goodness I got a little break Saturday night when Daniel and Kristen took Cammie! We did go to Station 3 to see Joe for a bit. Cammie stayed up pretty late partying as usual and got up early this morning. I took her to gymnastics and she participated a little better. She did most of the beginning "dance" and stretched a couple of times. She even waited her turn most of the time but the teacher did make her sit down when she ran down the trampoline the wrong way and then crawled through the teacher's legs. Sigh.... We tried to fly the kite today but it wasn't quite windy enough. Found a pretty yummy recipe for left over turkey for dinner (not that we have a lot). Joe and I were hoping to have a soak this evening but he is asleep and Cammie is bouncing around next to me. Sigh again... We are really starting to get excited about going to Disney, well more excited. I go back to the dentist tomorrow for the last time (until my regular appointment again) and we have babysitters lined up in shifts. Joe has to go back to work and everyone else is either coming from or going to work so Kristen is going to come over first and then either Donna or Paul or possibly both will come over so she can go to work. Once again, it takes a village to raise a child!

Sorry Joe has my new pics of Cammie on the laptop

But anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had it at our house this year and it was lots of fun and we also had lots of help. The requirements set in order to be able to host were that the stuffing had to be made in the turkey, the gravy must be homemade and the cranberry sauce must jellied from a can. We agreed to those orders and hosted for the first time. In our opinion it was a success. We enjoyed ourselves and all of the food. Not a lot of dinner left over but lots of desserts left over. It was also a drama free holiday! Which is the best kind! On Black Friday Joe and I decided to go to Home Depot because they had an artificial Christmas tree on sale. It wasn't crowded there at all, we got our stuff and left! Then Joe dropped me off at Quest so I could get some blood drawn and he went to the bank and we were pretty much done our shopping and outing. When we got home I started getting out some Christmas stuff much to the delight of Cammie. She is going to be so much fun in Disney this year! She is LOVING the Christmas lights and she likes snowmen and she is really starting to know who Santa is, not sure if she knows he is the man behind the presents but there is still time for that! She had been falling asleep pretty well the past few nights but she fought me a little last night so we took a quick dip in the hot tub and it was by far the coldest night we have had. It was a race to get in and then a race to the house. I am very lucky that Joe takes off and puts the cover back on. I may start just jumping out the bedroom window right into it. We have found that we are missing the woodstove but the oil heat does ok. It's just not the same cozy feeling. I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving Holiday and is finding lots to be thankful for!

Cammie wanted to look like a birthday cake!

I'm trying to keep the blog police off my back. I've been trying to get Cammie up by 0800 each morning to try to establish a sleep pattern. It has been working for the most part except for yesterday. Joe had to go right from work to the union meeting but he had to come home to get his calendar so I had gotten up around 7. I had lots of trouble sleeping (big shock) the night before so since Cammie was still asleep I figured I would lie down for a bit once the dogs were taken care of. The next thing I knew the phone was ringing and when I looked at the time it was 915. I woke Cammie up and we did a quick get ready so we could go to her gymnastics class. For some reason she does not like the beginning part where the teacher plays a little song to get them moving and then you (not me) do stretches then they start the activities. There were some older girls in there working on the balance beam and the bars and Cammie wanted to go with them so badly. They were really impressive. Today I had a doctors appointment and Joe took Cammie to the Bennett's to pick up our turkey. Joe helped Bruce move one of his cows and Cammie got to see tons of animals. She came home full of stories! This evening we started to watch Ratatouille (not sure if I spelled that right) and she fell asleep a little before 8 which was awesome! Right on the couch (just like her daddy). So we got to soak in the hot tub a bit early. The Thanksgiving preparations continue tomorrow!

Busy weekend!!

Not sure where all the time is going so quickly! This past week just flew by. Got a little shopping done, got things done around the house and of course spent quality time with the Chunkapotamus. She is getting even more chatty and she said her first full sentence to Joe. She is also a little bossy at times. Especially when she wants you to change her diaper. Apparently she is going to be a beach fan because she requests to go the beach on a pretty regular basis. Yesterday Alice and Emily came over and we all went to the fairgrounds to see the alpacas. They were SO cute and they make the sweetest noise. There was also a rabbit show going on so we looked at all the bunnies which were very cute too. They had giant rabbits there. This one lady walked out carrying one that was probably bigger than Bailey. So of course I have added two more things to my wanted list, I must have an alpaca and a giant rabbit. Today Joe had to work so Cammie and I picked up Lowanda and went to Jenn's house for a 31 and Tastefully Simple party. I love the 31 stuff, it's so cute. Cammie actually fell asleep around 845 without much of a fight so I have been enjoying some leisure time, however it's bed time now. Going to gymnastics in the morning! Two weeks to Disney!!!

Sorry No Picture

I have been under lots of pressure to keep the blog updated but it wouldn't let me upload a picture so I'll just bore you all with our details and you won't have a cute picture of Cammie to distract you. Saturday we got some stuff done around the house and we babysat Brady for a couple of hours. Then Mom and Dad came over and watched Cammie while Joe and I went to..... (wait for it....) THE GROCERY STORE!! To add to the excitement we stopped off at had a burger at Checkers because I was starving and we all know what a bad idea it is to go to the store hungry. When we got home we had yummy tacos for dinner and Cammie passed out at a little after 8 so Joe and I did get to enjoy a soak. Sunday we went to see the Browns and that was lots of fun. Cammie got to hang out with Ashy, Kristing, Cassie and Ms Jewie. She got to bounce and ride in the golf cart. Our old house still looks the same except there was a police car parked in the driveway. Cammie fell asleep on the way home which is what I knew would happen and then she stayed up til 12ish. She wasn't real happy when I woke her up at 8 on Monday morning but I really didn't want to get up either. We picked up Donna and went to gymnastics which was not nearly as fun when Her Highness is grouchy but she participated for the most part. After that we stopped at Goodwill which I had heard had some really good deals. I was really disappointed, most of the stuff was really gross although I did randomly find a pair of winter boots just like Cammie had last year but in a bigger size for $1.67 and a rain coat from the Disney store for $4.87. I doubt we'll go back there though. Lunch at ChikFilA was YUMMY. LOVE LOVE LOVE their vanilla milkshakes. Cammie fell asleep on the way home of course. We got up pretty early this morning and waited for Joe to come home from work. Then we went to my appointment at Pain Management, Joe dropped us off and went to go to Petsmart and Home Depot. I have to take Cammie with me or Anneliese will make me reschedule. We were in and out in fifteen minutes and then headed for the mall to go to Stride Rite. Cammie is now wearing a size 9 wide. We got her a new pair of tennis shoes to wear for Disney and then walked around a bit and then went to Red Robin for lunch. Just as we were finishing eating Alice, Mike and Meaghan came in. So that's about it. We are just hanging out waiting for Cammie to fall asleep, so far there doesn't seem to be any danger of that happening. We started to watch The Informant but vetoed that after the first five minutes was incredibly boring.

Bouncing

I figured I better update this before I start getting complaints again! The week just flew by! Monday we went to gymnastics and Cammie LOVED it. She learned how to do a somersault and she liked swinging on the rings and of course running around. After gymnastics I went to get the emissions testing done on the truck and when I pulled into the station I was SUPER embarrassed when the guy told me I had the wrong vehicle. Then when he pointed out that the make of the vehicle on the note said Dodge and I was driving a GMC I thought it was for the old Dodge truck. When I got home and was looking at the registration I happened to glance over at the Journey and realized that the tag number was for that and duh Dodge made the Journey. I've been a little slow lately.
The other day Cammie came up to me and she was all decked out in her jewels and tiara and waving her wand at me so I asked her if could kiss the princess and she told me to kiss her butt. Which of course I thought was hysterical and started laughing which made her laugh too. She is such a mess.
I took Cammie to her new pediatrician's office today and they are all really nice. I got some advice about her sleeping or lack thereof and she got a flu mist vaccine and a booster for another. We stopped at the firehouse to see Joe and T-Doggie (aka Tanner's dad) and Andy Kim and she showed off for everyone. Then this afternoon we met Brady and Mollie at the playground and had some fun there! Hopefully there was enough energy burnt that she will go to sleep soon. I guess we'll see! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Giddyup!

This blog post is dedicated to Theresa! Wake up and finish reading it please. The Disney countdown is ticking away and we are very excited. Although Cammie has been asking to go to the beach a lot. Hmmmm I can think of a few very nice very warm very Caribbean beaches that we could go to. But back to reality. Last Tuesday was the Dentist appointment from Hell with no sedation, had my bridge removed and a temporary one placed but they also pulled a tooth and did a root canal and whatever else took them three hours! Thank God for the Valium that they did give me. Emily had picked up Cammie in the morning and then she spent the night at Alice's so I had some time to recover (sleep). It was bad when the Novocaine wore off and it's taken a while to feel somewhat better plus my jaws have been aching and we've all been sick. So the house has been really pleasant. Yesterday Alice and I took Cammie to the Craft Show at the HoCo Fairgrounds and she actually rode in the stroller (Cammie not Alice) and wonder of all wonders fell asleep in it (again Cammie). There is some hope for not chasing her all over Disney yet! Got a couple of cool things and got a ton of ideas of things we can make! Joe and I went back this morning and got a couple of more cool things and some more ideas of things we can make. We'll have to start a sweat shop/craft shop with Andrew as our leader! Today while Joe watched football (ick) Cammie and I rode up to Donna's and when we pulled in the driveway Daniel was playing with the dogs out front and she started yelling DAMIEL! as soon as she saw him. We hung out there for a while and it was so funny when Donna put Cammie on a tree branch, Cammie started making monkey noises and then Daniel climbed up higher and Cammie kept telling him to be curfull, she loved it when he picked her up higher in the tree! Then she re organized Donna's living room and then told me it was time to go. What a mess. Tomorrow is her gymnastics class, wonder how that will go. We missed the first one because she was sick.

Wheeeee!

After some gentle prodding by Alice (Ha!) I realized that I hadn't updated the blog in a while. So here we are. I guess to some everything up, Cammie has been playing with Morgan, playing at the playground, playing at Gracie and Philip's birthday party, playing at Timmy Dorsey's birthday party, playing at Summer's Farm, and playing at Aunt Donna's. I'm sure I missed a few places here and there also. Summer's Farm was awesome, we went there last Tuesday and it was lots of fun. Cammie really liked the animals, the slides and the jumping pillow. Saturday we went to Mullinix Farm but they only had a corn maze and pony rides so Cammie rode the pony and then her and Tanner played in the corn table and ran around a little straw maze for a while. Saturday evening we dropped her off at Donna's so we could go out to dinner for with the Fisher's at Bare Bones. It was so yummy, we all got crab cakes and no one had any shells at all. The food was good and the company was awesome! The only bad thing was that when Joe went to get Cammie he said Donna thought she was getting a cold and indeed she was. She wasn't feeling well yesterday and today she seems to be a bit better so hopefully it is passing by. We didn't take her trick or treating but I don't think she missed it. We also didn't get any trick or treaters but Ken said that at someone asked him where the jello shots were so some people at least missed us in Cloverfields. Poor Joe had a pretty boring actual birthday. It seems like fall is here to stay now so hopefully the weather won't be changing every day like it was. I can't believe it is November already, we'll be ready to go to Disney very soon! (well we are always ready but the trip date will be here quick!)

Cammie partied til late last Thursday so we kind of overslept through Kidactive again. Yikes! This not enough sleep is really getting to me! In the afternoon I went to Ms Sue's to get my hair colored and got to chat with her for a while! Saturday Joe had to go back to work and Uncle Gary came out to see Cammie bearing cash and prizes for her and his shark for me to borrow. We had fun hanging out with him although Cammie was looking for Uncle Michael too. Sunday Donna came over and we took Cammie to Larriland to get a pumpkin and that place was crazy crowded. After driving around awhile to find a place to park we picked out our pumpkins and got out of there. Joe was just leaving to pick up Michael G and go to the Dorsey/Stark casa to watch the Ravens game so we passed him on the way home. I fed Cammie and she told me it was bedtime so we laid down on the couch and the next thing I knew she was shooting silly bandz at me and it was almost 4. We headed over to T-Dog's (or T-Doggie as Cammie calls him) and Cammie got to play with Tanner for a while and some other big girls which she loved. Cammie tried to stay up again last night but she finally passed out at 10 so Joe and I had a quick soak which was heaven!! Today I haven't accomplished much but Donna did come over on her way home from work to watch Cammie so we could go to the grocery store. We have been searching new recipes and want to try some new stuff for dinner. It's finally beginning to feel a bit like fall!

Beach Bunny

The past week has just flown by! Last Thursday Joe left for his annual fishing tournament in Ocean City. Donna and I checked out some sales for Halloween decorations and grabbed Cammie some Chik FilA. (and I got a milkshake. YUM) Then Missi and Morgan came over to play for a little while. Cammie boycotted sleep again that night so Friday morning I was beat and forgot to take her to Kidactive. Oops.... Friday got away from me and I don't think we accomplished anything. Saturday Alice came out and we took Cammie to Target and then to Baughers (which was SO crowded). Cammie did get in the moonbounce and had a pony ride and petted the animals. We didn't get to do a tractor ride because the line was too long. Mom and Dad came over and watched Cammie while Alice and I went to Frederick. We hit a couple of stores in the mall and Barnes and Noble. I love that store, I could spend hours and lots of money in there. Sunday Cammie and I left to meet Joe in OC, on a beautiful day!! I wanted to stop and see some friends on Kent Island but I was so tired and anxious to get to the beach and see Joe. Now I know why people didn't stop and see us when we lived there. Once you get off the bridge you want to keep going and when you are coming home, you think you are almost there so you don't want to stop. When we got there we hit the beach and Joe and Cammie got in the water, it wasn't too bad. Cammie had lots of fun chasing seagulls and running on the beach. There were lots of dogs down there and I think we stopped to pet just about every one of them. We hung out on the boardwalk for a little while and had dinner at Dough Rollers. Monday morning we got breakfast at Zoe's Kitchen and then went to the beach again. Cammie made a little friend and they ran on the beach and chased seagulls. The water was A LOT colder. We walked on the boardwalk again and did some shopping at the Kite Loft. We had dinner at Tequila Mockingbirds (it was Taco night!!) then got some Coldstone for dessert. YUM!! Tuesday we did not want to leave and we were supposed to stop in Salisbury to go to the Zoo with Ashley (Ashy) but she got in an accident the night before. :o( She says she is sore but OK, her car was totalled. So we headed for home after we checked out of the room. Kristen stayed at the house with the dogs and Daniel helped her while she was working or at school so that worked out well. They seemed happy when we got home. I finally got my new phone on Wednesday and am still trying to figure out how to use it. Oh, the Roomstore people came yesterday for the third time to deliver the lamp and it was broken again. Then on the phone they offered to deliver it to the store and we could go look at it there. ??? So that was cancelled. Today the BGE guy came to install our Peak Rewards thermostat. We'll see if that really does cut our bill. We get credits in the summer so it will be nice then. Hope everyone enjoyed the nice weather that we had and didn't float away in all the rain today!

Cute goat!

I have some new pictures on the camera that I need to upload but someone has been wearing me out!! Sunday Joe put her new bed together and it looks awesome. It was given the stamp of approval by Miss Thang and she has spent every night since in it, of course that is once she goes to bed after partying til 2 am. I am so NOT a fan of that. Sunday afternoon we had Poppop Fish, Granny Franny, Ms. Sue and Captain Bill over for a cookout/eat in. It was lots of fun and Cammie passed out on the sofa. She woke up about an hour later and I'm sure you can guess what time she stayed up til. Monday Joe went to work and it was an icky rainy day. Cammie and I had to run some errands in Westminster so I did get a Chik Fil A milkshake out of the travels so that was worth it I suppose. Tuesday Joe took pity on me since it was another rough night and he took Cammie with him on some errands and I got a much needed nap. Today Cammie had a playdate with Brady so I thought that would wear her out. She bounced in his moonbounce, rode on his tractor and they played for a long time. I also managed to keep her awake most of the way home. She didn't fall asleep until about ten minutes from the house. My goal was to keep her awake until 9. A little selfish because I did want to watch Survivor. Well she is still awake and it is 1030. It's not looking good. If I could bottle and sell her energy we would be gazillionaires! Here's hoping for a little sleep tonight!

Our little Princess......

Cammie's bed finally arrived, however since it is some assembly required it is still waiting to be assembled. One of the downsides of ordering it online I suppose. We also got our last kitchen chair and lamp delivered from the Roomstore, although the lamp was broken for the second time so that has to be redelivered. Sigh. As of Wednesday too, we are on the time of use meter again for BGE so hopefully our bills will go down again. They haven't been terrible but we are just unsure of how the winter will be without a woodstove. Thursday we went to Kent Island to meet the O'Neills for lunch at Cracker Barrel (YUM), of course a tropical storm was going through that day and it was pouring rain. We did a drive by through Cloverfields and were quite glad that we moved and now live on a hill. I don't think the yard would have ever dried out and even with all the rain we have had here the yard still isn't really muddy which makes for clean dogs!! YAY! Friday was nice again, Kristen came and took Cammie to Kidactive for me and after lunch we went to meet Missi and Morgan at the Glenwood playground which is really nice. On the way home we stopped to see Joe at the firehouse so all in all a good day!! Joe came home this morning briefly and cleaned the kitchen (what a nice surprise to get up to!) and then went back to work. Cammie and I have been cleaning and doing laundry all day. We have also been having a plane fly circles around our house ALL DAY. Let me tell you, it's annoying! The dogs are not fond of it either, they don't even want to go outside which is a shame since it is a beautiful day, if you take away the stinkbugs of course. I've gotten a lot done today and I'm trying to continue with my Christmas shopping too. I finally looked up the website for Piggy Paint and it is so cute! They do nail polish that is non toxic and all, they have some really cute names and colors so I think that is going to be a stocking stuffer for the Diva. She loves having her nails painted but I've only been doing her toes. Well gotta get back to work....

HI sheep!!

It's been a busy few days again and it's been hot then rainy and now warmish, the stinkbugs went away in the rain but now they are coming back. Sigh..... Friday I took Cammie to Kidactive and she had lots of fun playing. Then Saturday morning we went to the class at the Montessori school and that was horrible. I didn't like it all. The "teacher" said that Cammie needed to use her inside voice, I told her she really didn't have one and they don't encourage the kids to play together at all. Then you have to put whatever you are playing with completely away before you can get anything else out to play with. It was a little odd, I don't think we will be going back. When we got home from that Alice and Matt were at the house, they stayed with Cammie and the beasts so that Joe and I could go to Hershey to see NICKELBACK! We left a little before 1 and it was a gorgeous day. We stopped at the outlets in Gettysburg for a little bit. When we got to Hershey we were looking for the hotel that I booked through priceline and when we found it both of us looked at each other and said we weren't staying there. It was a Red Carpet Inn and Suites and the picture online did not realistically depict what a dump it was. I am all for a bargain but I'm afraid we would have come home with bed bugs or typhoid or something. So we checked the place we stayed at last time and the Holiday Inn and they were both booked but luckily the Comfort Inn had a couple of rooms left and the lobby smelled like chocolate. Ahhhhhhhh! We grabbed a snack and then headed for the stadium. Buckcherry was playing when we got there and they really sucked. Not sure if the lead singer was drunk or high but they were awful. Three Days Grace was better but not by much. We did have fun people watching (except when the guy walked right past us, puked and then kept going) and laughing at the outfits some people had on. There was a representative from just about every gene pool you could imagine there. When Nickelback started playing it was awesome!! We stood just behind the general admission section so we could see the stage and the screens well. It was great!! We started walking out when they had two songs left (we parked about 10 miles away it seemed) and we could hear them all the way to the car. And no sitting an hour and a half in traffic in the parking lot for us this time. We zipped right out the exit and back to the hotel. Lots of fun!! Sunday morning we went to Chocolate World and then headed for home via Lancaster. We stopped for lunch at Friendlys and then hit a couple of stores in the outlets there. It was another pretty day and we were home around dinner time. Cammie had a good time with Alice and Matt and Emily came out so she was busy. She did not however want to go to sleep and was up til about 230. Yikes!! It rained all night sunday night and all day Monday so we didn't do a whole lot. Daniel and Kristen stopped by last night with Kristen's neice Riley. Cammie loved her and they had fun playing for a little while. Riley is very cute! Got some cleaning done today and Joe got some painting done. He's been off for a while and doesn't go back til Friday so he has had a nice break and Cammie has had some good Daddy time. Although it seems as though the terrible twos have struck with a vengeance. Yikes!! Stay tuned!!

You know you want a taste..... YUMMY!

Yesterday it got HOT again, we had to turn the AC back on. I had an appointment in the morning for more injections in my back. It's a little sad, you know how they ask you what you are there for, well I said I was getting injections and the nurse asked me to verify what kind and I didn't know. It turned out to be SI joint ones which is fine, maybe they will work. My back was killing me when I went in there and it still hurts but not as bad. While I was at the appointment Joe took Cammie and they went to the mall for a little bit and checked things out. Joe said Cammie sang the Martha Speaks song into a microphone in the Bose store. How cute is that??? Today we are going to go to Sam's and I have to go for my repeat mammogram so I'll be glad when that is over.
Death to the stinkbugs!!

Princess Cammie

Keep this weather coming please!! Yesterday we took Cammie to a playground in Glenwood that was really nice and she LOVED it. Today we tried to have a picnic at Piney Run but got run out by the bees and stinkbugs. Ick!! After that we met Mollie and Brady at the GW playground and they had a blast playing there! It's so gorgeous out. Cammie entertained us in the car by singing the theme song for Martha Speaks. It was so cute! She is such a ham. We also stopped by Sue's Do's and Joe got a haircut and Ms Sue trimmed Cammie's bangs so she looks like a little pixie again. It was also cute at the playground when she saw a little girl walking up, the little girl had on a pretty pink dress and Cammie thought she was a princess. Have a pretty busy rest of the week lined up and then Joe and I are off to see Nickelback on Saturday night. I'm really looking forward to that! And getting some chocolate in Hershey. Cammie didn't nap today so she fell quickly to sleep at 630, Joe and I are going to enjoy a soak! I'm getting more injections in my back tomorrow morning. UGH......

Sunday Fun

And another beautiful day today!! Alice came up and we were going to go to the Wine Festival until we got there and found out it cost 25 bucks to get in. Only 20 if you weren't drinking but still. If they give you free samples we figured we could get our $25 back but then someone would have to come and pick us up. We also thought that for that much money we could get a couple of cases of Boonesfarm too. So anyway, we detoured from there and hit up Michaels to look at the sale stuff and I found some Fall decorations and some stocking stuffers for Cammie. Yes I am Christmas shopping already. As much as I hate to rush the seasons I want to be done all my Christmas stuff before we go to Disney. After that we went to Baughers Farm and took Cammie in the petting zoo and she had a blast, she was running right up to the animals and petting and feeding them. It was so cute!! (Pics on facebook) Hung out there for a bit and picked up a peach pie on the way out. Lots of fun. Cammie wanted to do the Hayride on the tractor but we promised her that Daddy would go with her on that. They had some great pumpkins too! I'm tired though and Miss Divalicious is slowing down and getting cuddly so I'm going to take advantage of that. Enjoy the evening!!

Supermodel!!

We have been having gorgeous weather!! Loving not having to turn the ac on at all!! The whole house fan does help a lot and Joe got the blinds put back up in the living room so that is also helping with the sun coming in. We got a quote on blinds for the three windows in the living room, dining room and over the kitchen sink from Empire and they wanted 2 grand for just the blinds and installation, no valances. Joe modified the window boxes he usually builds and got the blinds from Home Depot and did it for about 300 bucks (not including labor of course, his time is priceless!). They look great!! Wednesday we went to the Orientation for the Parent/Toddler program that I signed Cammie up for at the Montessori school in Westminster and neither one of us was a fan of the school. Plus the instructor or "directress" as they are called was really awkward and uncomfortable, which I could forgive her for if she hadn't been doing this for a while. So anyway, I'm sure we will get out of the mini program what I wanted but then that will be it. Of course the class was supposed to start to day and has already been postponed. UGH!! But that is sort of the theme for this week I suppose, Cammie and I have both had colds all week so she missed her first two swimming lessons. The Y gave us a credit for the class so I can sign her up for the next one. Then on Friday we had to miss Kidactive and a playdate since she was still snuffly and coughing. Hoping for a better week next week!! Joe is working OT in Lisbon today and came home this morning with his partner in crime for the day, Jimmy Wilson! So that was kind of cool for him to be able to do that again (hasn't happened since we lived in Columbia I guess). Of course when I talked to him this afternoon he had been busy making the rounds of the local hospitals on calls. He is supposed to get off at 7 but I'm sure he is liking working with Jimmy. Cammie and I are just hanging out, doing some coloring and working on a project. We have had some fun playing outside with the bubbles of course and we took Clyde to the mailbox. He is recovering well it seems. He still can't wait to play frisbee! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!!

Let's Ride!!!

The weekend whizzed by as usual. Alice brought Cammie home. She had lots of fun but was quite tired! She quite enjoyed her sleepover with Emily and Jenn! She went to bed early on Sunday and we enjoyed the hot tub. Monday Joe had to go back to work, so Cammie and I hung out at home and did lots of playing outside with the puppies, chasing butterflies, bubbles and coloring. I was trying to clean out her wagon and at one point when she walked over to me a yellow jacket landed on her and without thinking I squirted her with the hose. She laughed but a few minutes later when I laid the hose down she got a hold of it and squirted me. Well water is VERY cold. Then I had to sneak up behind her to get it away from her. It was funny. She has learned the word stinkbug and is happy to point out every one that she sees and they are all over the place! ICK ICK ICK Last night wasn't a great night. Joe was working and Cammie woke up around 11 or so coughing and fussy. She felt warm so I took her temp and it was 100.3 so I gave her some Tylenol and she finally settled down around maybe 4 and then slept restlessly until 8. We were supposed to start her swim lessons at the YMCA in Westminster this morning but I was hesitant to take even though I am 99% sure she was just cutting some molars, so we missed this session but will go to the second one on Thursday. Joe had his nuclear stress test this morning and he said it seemed to go well. Obviously they won't give him the results until the doc sees them. I'm just glad he went and did it and got it over with. I also talked to my gyn this afternoon and he said that all I need is a repeat mammogram, they found no abnormal areas on my other one but there were just areas that they couldn't see so they need to focus on those. Not sure what we are going to do tomorrow, I'm so sleepy right now after last night. But in the evening we are going to the Parent Primer for Cammie's Toddler class at the Montessori school. I'm going to miss the start of Survivor!! Oh well, it usually takes me a couple of episodes to get into it anyway. Cammie is going to stay at Donna's so she can see Daniel and Paaaaauuuuul.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

This morning Emily picked up Cammie to go to the Renaissance Festival with her and Meaghan and Rick and I'm assuming Edd and Jenn also. They are also having a sleepover at Emily and Jenn's! Should be lots of fun and hopefully someone won't be too grumpy at bedtime! Joe and I went to the HoCo Fairgrounds to what was supposed to be a Hot Tub, Pool and Patio blowout extravaganza/palooza type deal but was a HUGE disappointment. There was only one hot tub dealer (and it was NOT hotsprings) and there were about 10 hot tubs in the building and no extras or anything to indicate even the smallest palooza type event. We were looking for hot tub filters and just wanted to check it out. Short story even shorter- totally not worth it. We thought our visit would be redeemed by the Kid Sale also at the fairgrounds, that turned out to be little more than a yard sale and was over by the time we got there. The two or three sellers that were left didn't have anything interesting out. After that we headed for the Hot Tub store in Ellicott City and that was successful. The excitement continued as we headed to Columbia to go to Lowes, Toys R Us (we only went in there because they were having a going out of business sale I swear) and Petsmart. Oh and how could I forget!! Our living room and dining room furniture was delivered this morning, with the exception of the chaise chair (they sent the wrong color), one dining room chair (scratched) and a lamp (broken). Very exciting and the living room no longer looks like a toy store although I'm sure as soon as Cammie gets home and moves her stuff back out there it will. Can't wait for her bed to finally come!! Going to go hit the hot tub and enjoy the aromatherapy salts we got and then to quote our Chunkapotamus... It's bedtime!
9-11-01 Never forget the efforts of those who sacrificed their lives on that day or those who were there and survived and their loved ones. There were heroes at the WTC, the Pentagon and the crash site in Pennsylvania and there are heroes still fighting for us at home and in the Middle East. I will never forget where I was and what I was doing, and I was never more thankful to be an American in the aftermath. 9 years hasn't changed the impact of that day when our world changed forever.

I will never forget 9-11-01

Rockin' the boots and the bag

Again the week just flew right by, last Sunday my Mom and Dad picked up Cammie in the morning to take her to the Clark Farm where the Enchanted Forest stuff is, they have a petting farm and a maze and pony rides etc. They all had lots of fun!! After they brought her home we went to Donna and Bill's for a cookout and Cammie got to hang out with Paul. And Kristen and Daniel and Joe and Melissa of course. It was fun also. Monday we went to Meaghan and Rick's for a cookout and had lots of fun there too. Tuesday and Wednesday Fons was here painting and he finished on Wednesday and the room looks fabulous!! We love it! Our furniture comes tomorrow which we are very excited about!! Now just comes the decorating part. Yikes! Wednesday we took Joe's truck in to get the recalls done on it and we went over to the Columbia Mall for a little bit and checked out the Disney store. Cammie was in heaven. I picked up a couple of things to put away for Christmas for her, so my Christmas shopping has officially started. I want to be done by the time we go to Disney although I am sure I will find a thing or two down there that I want to get. Thursday we had the Fireworks woodstove guy come out and give us a price on a pellet stove, then Weber stopped by to see the house and then Cammie's favorite part of the day was when Leslie and her BF Ben stopped by the house on their mules and Cammie was so excited. She got to sit on them and walk around a little. It was great. Of course now she thinks that the animals are coming to her. We finished off the day with dinner at Bob Evans with Poppop Fish and Granny Franny. Today was Cammie's first Kidactive class through Parks and Rec and she really seemed to enjoy it. There was about ten kids in it and they had them do all kinds of activities. It was cute. Then Donna came over and we went to Mt Airy to go to the Library and to CVS (I saved 45 bucks with sales and coupons and got 15 extra bucks for next time!) Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Well Hello

I know, I've been a bad blogger again!! But I think I can catch everyone up on our busy exciting life. Monday the 30th we took a field trip to Chestertown to visit Andy and Tammi Kim. Cammie made a new friend of their daughter Syd and we met another Chunkasauras, their baby Dylan. We had a yummy lunch and a great visit! We're going to have them over as soon as we get our furniture! Tuesday we went to the dentist again, Joe had to get an additional cleaning and I had a consult with the dentist. He thinks I need to get braces on the upper teeth and then redo my bridge on the bottom and he wants to yank one of my lower teeth that I injured in the car accident so many years ago. Apparently there is an abscess in it now. Bleahhh. I'm not opposed to the braces I just need to find out how much our insurance covers. The cost for the replacement bridge is not horrible so I may just go for that if the braces are too much. September 1st brought me a lovely spa morning. Kristen G watched Cammie for me so I could go get a massage and facial in Westminster and then when I got home I was so relaxed I took a great cuddly nap with Cammie. Thursday Joe took Clyde to the vet for a follow up and he is doing great! Thank goodness. All the work I have been doing with him is paying off! Then I went for a mammogram. I guess it's a good thing we didn't get those appointments mixed up, don't think Clyde would have been too happy trying to flatten his boobies into the mammo machine. Friday we spent getting the living/dining/kitchen area ready for Fonso to come and paint for us which he did all day today. It looks great so far! I love the colors! I also had a visit from the Great Uncles and they took Cammie and I to Bob Evans for late lunch/early dinner and it was YUMMY. We had a great visit with them as always! It was a gorgeous day today and we spent lots of time outside!! I also want to note that Hurricane Earl did not stress me out in any way shape or form as he would have if we still lived on Kent Island. And just to update on the Cammie bed situation, we have finally ordered a bed. Finding a bed that we wanted and not settling was a lot harder that I expected it to be and ultimately more expensive but our girl is worth it! And if she doesn't sleep in this bed, we are going to give her ours and Joe and I will split the bunk beds, cause someone is sleeping in the new bed!!! Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!!!

A visit from Tink makes everything better

Busy busy busy again! Saturday Alice and I took the diva to Frederick to do some shopping. We hit a big sale in Sears and walked around the mall a bit. Then we went to this Promenade area that we had passed before but there were really no shops in it that interested us. We did eat lunch at McDonalds so Cammie could have some fwies. Then we stopped at Lowes to pick out some paint colors for the living room and look at a few other things. Sunday we hung out and Joe cut the grass, which is making up for the beginning of the summer when it didn't grow for over a month. Now from all the rain it is growing like crazy! Then Donna, Bill and Paul came over for dinner and we had a yummy meatloaf and mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. Monday Cammie and I went to Missi's house so Cammie and Morgan could have a playdate there. They played in the kiddie pool and with the outside stuff, then they wanted to go inside and play. Cammie was a little rough at times, then she would try to hug Morgan but it would turn into looking like a wrestling move. For the most part the girls played well together! Tuesday I had to go see Dr. Sprouse to get my meds refilled (ugh) after the appointment I ran a couple of errands and then met Lowanda at Cracker Barrel for lunch and then we stopped in to see Sharon and Becca and Ken. Cammie had fun playing with Becca (who she kept calling BackUp) and Becca gave her some more silly bands so Cammie was in heaven! She also didn't sleep on the way home like I thought she would. I was so tired I had to stop at ChikFilA for a milkshake and an iced tea (well I really didn't need the milkshake but I had convinced myself I did). Wednesday we went to Westminster with Donna to look for furniture. We went to Roomstore and found a similar bed to the one we want to get for Cammie but it didn't' come in white so the search continues. We did find a nice kitchen table and a living room set, all on sale and no interest for four years so we ordered those! Today Cammie and I are just hanging out at home and I am trying to get some stuff done and organized and cleaned. Joe has been working a lot of OT but today is his regular shift. Clyde is doing better. He is up to two ten minute walks a day and has been putting weight on his back leg. We are still doing the stretching and strengthening exercises. Oh and I got Nickelback tickets for Hershey in September!! Can't wait!! Alice is going to come and stay with Cammie and the beasts! We are also trying to plan a trip for our anniversary/Joe's birthday. So all is well in our little corner of the world!!

Yummy Corn!!!

Busy week again, it seems. Monday we had a play date with Missi and Morgan again. During which we saw a little girl fall off the bars and if not break her arm, she dislocated her shoulder and sprained her wrist. Ugh.... Did some stuff around the house and did errands, went out to lunch. Lots of things! Lots of hanging out. We've also been enjoying the hot tub, especially on those nice evenings! Today I went to get my hair cut and colored and Ms Sue's and Kristen G came over and watched Cammie for me. She didn't take a nap so I'm waiting for her to crash! Clyde is doing pretty well. He is only on the one pain medicine now and we are still doing his stretches but have added some strengthening things to it which are harder to do with him. He can also do two five minute walks a day and we have been letting him stay loose in the house more when we are there. He did go down the basement steps the other day which he should not have done but it was really our fault for leaving the door open. He also jumped out of the car before Joe could catch him at the doctors. UGH!! And somehow according to Cammie, while he was at his doctor's appointment he managed to poo in her diaper. I was quite impressed with him at that. Hope everyone has fun plans for this weekend!!

Ride 'em Cowgirl!

Cammie is riding Friendly who is twenty years old. This was at the fair. Wednesday was Joe's kelly day and he got 12 hours OT so he got off at 1900 which was nice, he got to come home and hang out with us. Thursday Donna and Andrew came over to stay with Cammie and Clyde while Joe and I went to Frederick to take advantage of some tax free shopping. Joe found a bunch of stuff at Kohls and we both found tennis shoes at this other store. I got those Reebok toning shoes. Then we hit JC Penney's and walked around the mall and got a few books at Barnes and Noble. We did get books on raising chickens because Yes, we are thinking about getting some chickens. Just a couple or a few rather. I know Joe is afraid when he comes from work that I will sneak a new animal into the yard and try to pass it off as though it's always been there. "Oh yeah honey, we've had an alpaca since we moved in! I can't believe you don't remember..." I also LOVE those little pygmy goats!! It could get out of hand easily. Friday we did some stuff around the house, it's been cloudy and rainy for several days including this one. Plus some random storms which Bailey absolutely HATES now. She hides in the bathroom. Saturday Joe went to work and Cammie wasn't feeling well so we missed a BBQ at the Kim's today and Watermelon night at the Uncle's. We did get some things done around the house and we have just finished a nice soak in the tub!! And for the first night, Cammie is sleeping in her own room, for now. We have given up on the Gardiners bed and are going to start the search over again so I figured in the meantime I'd just set her room up. It looks ok but not as I want it to. Clyde is doing pretty well. We have been doing his passive rom exercises and he is tolerating them and even seeming to like them as he usually falls asleep during them. He's also spent some time out of the crate in the house which he enjoys and sitting on the deck. He goes back to the doctor on Thursday so hopefully we'll get a good report. On Wednesday he can start five minute walks twice a day and also some more intensive exercises. So far so good!!! Hope everyone had a nice weekend!!!!
